Wow!  Very estute observation - I'm usually ubersuspicious about peoples' motives, but I didn't even think of that one. Course whatever Kacedra's supposed motivation for allowing Gina to abuse her children is inexcusable.  Perhaps she is allowing Gina to emotionally blackmail her in exhange for financial support.  I always say no one can't hurt you like family!

Is taking the easy way out. Using her niece as a play thing like a child has a doll to play with. She can do what ever see wants and spoil her and then throw her back and her mom when she is done. This way she has a child without the responsibilitys that come with actual parenting. She seems very immature and self centered. Meanwhile her sister seems to let her sister and her own child walk all over her. She needs to get more of a backbone.
