Grow up. Ever heard what goes around comes around, maybe then these immature people won't think its so funny. Respect, that is what's missing, they show none so they deserve none.

I think it is coming around if those families are in danger of losing their homes. Perhaps that will impress on both parents and children the seriousness of their choices.

Some of my friends were the targets of gossip. It is a nasty beast to try and respond to because it is all a matter of words. No evidence, no arbitration. For myself, in high school I let the gossipers talk and my character speak for itself. (Although after years of that, my character has taken a beating and I am a little more aggressive than I used to be.)
