01/21 Real Life Gossip Girls

Quote From: answers2god

I, and my children, (and I'm sure many of you reading this) have been victims. I'm furious enough to spit nails, but i WILL NOT be a victim all my life. i have been sexually molested and verbally abused and I AM the WINNER in life. What will suing get me? It won't make me "feel" better about what happened. But I guess can say "Nyah nyah I won! Woo-hoo", how mature. Those girls got their punishment and served it. Now someone wants to make a buck. Poor mommy (not the victim child) needs to grow up and get a life. My girls have been victims of nasty girls, but MY KIDS are strong and have learned some great lessons about life.

I'm sure the original author and clones of this mindset were never young and of course never did anything stupid. People DO learn from their mistakes-look at the "beauty queens" whose pictures have shown up! Notice-I answer to God, and that's what we all need to keep in mind.

Again, if these parents raised these kids to be decent human beings in the first place, the girls would not have done what they did and therefore there would be no backlash at the parents.  Maybe a big wake up call is exactly what many of today's parents need.  These days there seem to be such limited consequences for horrible actions.  The cheerleaders who photographed their friend not only got away with it, but were reinstated to the cheerleading squad (where they can continue to spread good spirit) but now have "Daddy" calling them brave and putting them into a victim role.  What a disgrace that instead of teaching these girls that they did something wrong they have big Daddy defending them. Yank away the computer and the cell phones from your spoiled princesses until they prove that they can act with responsibility and decency towards other human beings.  Give them CONSEQUENCES for their actions!!!!  Both the school and the bully-parents failed in dealing appropriately with these thug girls.

Heavier consequences to both the kids, and the parents who failed in their jobs to raise decent human beings may be exactly what this world needs to stop the excuses, defending of nasty kids who don't deserve it, and maybe even the nasty behaviors they display toward others.

Do I feel sorry for the parents who are getting sued?  No I don't.  The world needs much more accountability for both kids and their parents.  Is it harsh?  Yes.  But maybe if people understand that they aren't going to get away with this type of stuff they will take an active role in teaching their kids to be decent human beings.
