Quote From: thatrabbitSince when did it become right or fair for anyone to tell you what you can wear, unless it's a parent and a young child. There are so many more important issues that people should be trying to resolve. If the males are not going to be allowed to wear baggy jeans are they going to stop women from wearing short shorts or skirts, low cut tops, or pants that are too tight ? We all know some women who should not be dressing this way do, at least the males are covered up and don't have any body parts hanging all out. A female can just as easily hide a weapon in her shirt as a male can in baggy pants. I think if you see something you don't like look the other way instead of continuing to look. I know this show hasn't aired yet but I saw the previews.
I don't think the government should have to tell people what to wear, but since parents don't seem to have the authority to make sure that their children pull their pants up, then maybe the government needs to step in. The father on the show who wears his pants low and allows his children to do likewise, stated on the show that there is nothing wrong with it, becase as they grow up their pant swill be pulled up. Ok! Well we can all assume that he still has some growing up to do since his pants are still not pulled up. It's one thing for them to wear their pants that way, but I don't think that most people like to look at these boys underware. That's why they are called UNDERWEAR. They are supposed to be worn under your clothes. Also, I think that someone on the show made a statement that it's comfortable. How could that be considered confortable? You have the underpants on the waist and the pants under your butt, while walking with both legs apart, inorder to keep the pants from falling. If it's comfortable to have the underwear on your waist, why not have both the underwear and pants on your waist? I think this is so disgusting to look at. I don't know which Idiot came up with this nonsense, and then find a bunch of idiotic followers. I am certainly glad my son is grown and does not find it necessary to dress this way. Also, it makes them look like thugs, and yes they can easily hide weapons under those baggy clothes. Could they walk into a business dressed this way and get a job?
Yes, some women/young girls need to cover up also. This is only the flip side of the baggy pants. I would put both dressings in the same category. That father on the show needs to stand up and set an example and set some boundaries. That's what being a parent is all about. Not joining with the kids and giving them their way, knowing that it could eventually be to their detriment. Teaching your childrent to dress this way, will not give them the know-how to dress properly when they are ready to go for an interview. However, to each it's own. I just don't want to look at peoples underwear........and most of them look extremely nasty anyway.
