On the radio, hiphop and rap music is in the radio version, so if you hear your child listening to the bad language version then it's your responsibility as a parent to take that from your child. Hip Hop and Rap do what they are paid to do, their image NEVER changes, children do. And only time will pick up the pants. I have to disagree with you about the Ying Yang Twins...Yes you can block web pages, Yes you can block Tv shows, but can you block out the world? NO You can NOT. Like someone else said, if you go to the grocery store and there are men with their butts hanging out there...How do you block that? Please as a parent I would like to know your secret...Because I will be blocking the net and certaIn shows from my kids but I cant block my city, their schools...maybe their friends...the ones you know about anyway...If you have ever heard the expression it takes a village to raise a child well it can certainly take less then a village to have strong infulences on a child...My kids are smart but who (other then family) do they have to look up to now a days? Gansta rappers with baggy pants? Insane stars? But this is the world we live in and no little law about pants is going to make much of a difference, maybe the next fad will be looking like someone with respect towards their neighbors...but im guessing baggy pants are just a start...the people we allow out children to look up to will find a way to take the look to an even more extreme...maybe we will start doing something when all our children want to look like pimps and hoes....(IE BRATZ DOLLS!) Maybe...or maybe freedom will go to far..somehow when everyone mentions the constitution as a defence for their 'freedoms' I don't think when it was written THEY knew exactly what rights they would be protecting...The right to bear arms for example was written in a different world...maybe our problem is the constitution could use an update, as we live in the year 2008 not the 1700's... |
