My summer has been fun but hectic. It is so hot there are lightening caused wild fires that caused power outages and our air conditioner fried because of it. We had to stay in a motel overnight until we could get it fixed. Then someone frauded our credit card acct. for $4000 That's pretty scary. I used to think those tv commercials about the guy buying a leather bustiea and not paying for it were so funny but not any more. Don't know if our acct. numbers were stolen while we were on a trip and using the card for hotels, restaraunts, gas, golf, everything, but they are trying to track it down.

I just tried using the spell check and heard a gulp like my computer blocked a pop-up so maybe spell check won't be working for me. Geez I thought that was a neat feature of this new board too. Yep! Im still working on the bathroom. Stripped a wall of the wainscoting yesterday. Thats an icky job! I had never stripped before and was surprised at the mess it made. I got the hang of it now though and should have at least that finished by the end of this weekend.
We have had the hottest June and July ever on record here. It was way too hot! The cooler weather has hit and its nice to give the air conditioner a break. I was fussin over it because all winter we have to keep the house closed up and then summer comes and I have to keep the house closed too! Just seems wrong.
Im so sorry to hear that your credit card was stolen! Did they help you with that and say you wernt responsible for the charges? Are they sending you a new card with different numbers? I wonder if they will ever track down who stole it?
Today im heading off to our towns lil fair. Its quite something that we have a fair here in this lil town. It is up the road(which is means is about 2 miles from us) but its a 4H fair and I really enjoy going and looking at all the animals. The bunnies are my favorite. :) My lil one does the small fry tractor pull every year and this was the first year he didnt make 1st place so he wasnt invited back for the final pull today. He knew as soon as he finished his pull he had second not first and you should have seen his lil face. LOL He was just sick about it. I told him I would take him back during the week so as he could try again but he never mentioned so I did work instead. A part of me thinks its actually a good thing that he didnt win 1st one year so he can get practice at being a good sport.
My parents are coming up the fith(making a not so happy face)and thats always an adventure, to put it nicely. They dont stay with me though so thats very good. My kids enjoy seeing them so least I can find solace in that. LOL However, I may be hitting this site venting a time or two if my father gets on my last nerve as he generally does. I do have a secret code with my husband and will call upstairs to his office if he starts bugging me to no end. Then my hubby comes down and saves me. :D I find it ironic that my father will be on his best behavior for my husband but doesent feel the need to do the same for me or my children. Whats up with that? Think he has that whole thing backwards if you ask me!
