Quote From: dingoyadaI work for a prison and I'm here to tell you that locking up these offenders does not take away their drive as predators once released. Another problem is that most Americans are under the impression that sex offenders "have" to register when released from incarceration. They are TOLD to register but many do not. It's going to have to be up to each individual to know their surroundings, know their neighborhoods and keep themselves safe.
I think if the death penalty was used, we wouldn't have to worry about having a sex offender living around us and our children. When you think what these people put the inocent lives through (torture, rape, and/or death) I believe the sex offenders should get more than just a slap on the wrist. These people get out and just destroy lives all over again. Some people say the death penalty inhuman - what about the inocent lives they take or destroy --- I think it's sickening and they should rid the world of these people.
