I've been in many shopping environments where one kid could be heard from one end to the other. Mass merchandisers with "low" prices, such as Wal-Mart, seems to draw the most parents who make no effort to curb such behavior.
As a former Wal-Mart associate, for 12 years, I was exposed to quite a lot of this.
Sometimes the mother of such a kid would come in the front door, and slo-owly work her way around the entire perimeter, never putting anything in her cart. Making my customers, co-workers, and me suspect that the mother was deliberately using her kid to irritate us.
Some days, at least half-a-dozen mothers would bring such kids to the store. "Bring your brats to Wal-Mart day" I'd call it.
