save your hus-make some calls
Quote From: jblotz237Apparently it is worse than everyone thinks...because my husband was told back in Nov. 07 that his head was infected with the superbug...and was given no medication. Then in Feb. 08 I had to return him to the urgent care and again was told his culture came back positive. He was then given Doxycycline Hyclate and was given a 20 day supply. According to the doctors here in AZ, we all that live in Az are carriers and was also told that it has been around for at least 5 years. It was until kids started dying did it come into the news. Now we just go day to day hoping that that sore does not return. According to my husband he didn't become infected until after they did a minor plastic surgery on his finger from a bite of a brown recluse. Here in AZ. the doctor's do not seem to think that it isn't as bad as we are hearing about on the news...My husband is only 40 yrs. old and we are newlyweds and I am hoping for a very long life with him and I will as long as he is on his prescription but what happen when the medication expires??? Arizona has sister hospital to the Ohio Cleveland Clinic - There is a machine called a 'sensitive machine' it checks your blood with a ton of antibiotics at the same time to find out which one will work. There are only three hospitals here with the blood/antibiotic testing machine. The sister hospitals here do not have the machine only Cleveland Clinic downtown (main clinic) time is not on anones side with this. My dad and my cousinswifes dad both died last year. Watch if your husband gets tired alot. Make him go to another doctor and call every hospital& find which one has the machine that checks blood test against many antibiotics. Good Luck, I wish your husband long life- careful very contagious.
