For the LOVE of money is a root of all KINDS of evil. 1 Timothy 6:10--This is especially true in this family--and sadly in my husband's family as well. As for me--when my father suddenly and tragically passed away, I got his flip flops, and my brother got his gold Rolex Presidential watch--We were equally delighted to have a special remembrance of him. Kudos to your family :-) I've a pair of gloves and a beanie like hat from my grandmother whom I didn't know. They were "home made" during the first world war. and again probably woth the same amount as your dads flip flops & yet not having known her they some how "connect me physically to her". Silly I know but then I'm just human and we cling to the physical things. Better that than the "love of money" though huh?
