I agree

After viewing the sad program today regarding the young woman that drove her car into her boyfriend, killing him, I'd like to offer a suggestion.  Maybe Dr. Phils show would consider contacting Dr. Henry Lee, one of Americas foremost forensic scientists, to review this case.  It's possible that  forensics can prove what happened the night this boy was killed.  Take the emotion out of it and let science discover the truth...and let the chips fall.   Either way, both families will have to decide when they will put this behind them and start living again.
I was watching the show and thinking the same thing...I do believe that the finger of guilt will point directly at Brandi!!!

That's a good suggestion. A lot depends on how much evidence still exists. They may or may not have taken plaster casts of the tire tracks or even photos of the scene. The car Brandi was driving that night may be long gone by now.

I get the feeling (although I may indeed be wrong) that all they've got is the initial police report. I am thinking that because Brandi eventually accepted a plea deal, they didn't spend a lot of time working the crime scene. But this is only a guess on my part.

With that said, Dr. Lee is indeed amazing. I've read one of his books and I could hardly put it down.

Greetings from Australia!  Thats the best idea yet!!

Whilst the show has not aired here in Oz yet I have read all the info on the website and am reminded of why I became a scientist years ago.  I am now a high school teacher and I think my experience both professionally and personally affords me great insight into this crime.  There is No doubt a crime was commited!  I would like to have seen more background on the evidence collected but as there was no trial this can be difficult.  Crime investigaytion experience and exposure to countless investigations tells me this was no accident (stealing a car, speeding and hit and run are pretty clear indicators of intent!), and my recent experience in high schools has taught me just how manipulative teenagers, especially girls, can be.

When reading some of these posts I was initially angry with those who sypathized with Brandi I now feel she has just manipulated them the way she tried to manipulate the courts and most importantly her family.  Kids do some really terrible things and whilst I don't think she should have received a life sentence I do feel 12 years is reasonable.

In closing, to all those who say Daniel's family was overreacting or unreasonable, try to imagine losing your child, forever!!  This show was about healing but until Brandi admits fault I don't think either family will begin to heal.  After all as Dr Phil says, "You can't change what you don't acknowledge."
