You said yourself that she was in a bad position...She was madly in love with him...she was not thinking clearly...She might not have went there with the intent to kill him...but once she got there and became enraged...she did it!!! She was an emotional wreck...she went there, ran him over, and went home and covered it up...Sorry you have such a poor bestfriend...because she deserves jail and her parents need a wake up call...And that is horrible to speak badly of his mother..If she did leave her son...don't you think she is suffering now??? especially if she kicked him out...she is probably living with horrible guilt...And if Brandi was sooo great...why did she get involved with him??..He did not deserve death!!!!

You sound like a good person and a loyal friend - the kind of friend I would be to one of my own girlfriends. Is there any chance Brandi will be paroled? If so, after how many years?

From your prior post, it sounds like you knew that Brandi and Daniel's relationship was violent. Was that common knowledge prior to the accident? (I was just curious).

I have read some of the comments that were left for you on this message board and I hope that you are able to ignore the mean, negative remarks. If you try to respond to close-minded people it will just cause frustration for you, as those people's intentions are to be mean and cruel, which serves no purpose to people who wish to live a happy life.

Take care of yourself and take care of your friendship with Brandi.

that is awsome your so loyal and willing to be Brandi's voice as she doesn't seem to have much of one right now. Remember the other family is hurting just as you and Brandi's family. I really don't think that you need to be judge, or condemned for being her friend. This seems so tragic. I caught the fact right at the begining that Brandi was suffering in an abusive relationship. I have a question Summer, did that even come up in the trial? If not why?

Hopefully you can turn a check to all the negative posters... keep your loyalty! I wouldn't change a word I have wroten.. even if Brandi confided in you that she did it on purpose... which I am not asking... I feel that is between her and God. Something we all seem to forget! What my point is that is you need to keep being her freind no matter what... that is going to help her survive! Keep believing in her! God is by her side and hasn't stopped loving her, please let her know that!

I can see your as clueless as her parents. When she gets out make sure you stick with her so someday you'll wind up in jail too.

Ok summer lets hash this out now. You were not her best friend Brynn was. I think what you are saying about my brother is a bunch of crap you know that daniel would never hurt a single woman let alone brandi she kill my brother out of cold blood. My daughter is now 22 years old, getting her college degree, raising her four-year-old daughter, and divorced. She had a high-school romance with a boy three years older. He had been kicked out of his home at the age of 15, by his religious fanatic parents. They were originally from New Jersey, dirt poor, and you could tell by looking his Mother had led a pretty hard-knock life, just as Daniel's mother looks.

They got married, and when my daughter realized they were very different people, and wanted a divorce, he took it very badly. VERY badly. He was very angry, upset, justifiably so. He said and did a lot of things he's probably sorry for now. He's essentially a good boy, but with bad coping skills. Some people would consider his parents as nut cases, too.

My point being, my daughter was being emotionally abused. She was miserable, whether from the abuse, or just plain unhappiness, only she knows for sure. But I can tell you, she would NEVER, EVER, NEVER have run over her husband and left him for dead, then lied about it to cover her misdeed. To this day, he loves my daughter, and he's an excellent father, one who's sorry for the way he handled the entire situation back when the divorce occurred. Daniel's death was NO accident.

I think you've misplaced your loyalty. I believe your "friend" has lied to you, and she's accomplished at it. I don't believe Daniel's death was an accident. At the least, it was second-degree murder due to passion. If she was really so scared of him or his alleged "threat", she would have told her Dad and let HIM handle it for her. I think her family is dysfunctional, or she would have done just that.
