OPEN ADOPTION

Quote From: karirandall

hey this law is unjust because even fathers deserve the same right to parent even if the mother doesn't in my case the father of my daughter showed up to court with me and judge still told him he had no rights until his name was on the bith certificate i in my case i was forced into the adoption which i am now appeling due to fraud this was 14 years ago i've had a realationship with her for 11 till adoptive parents cut me out . open adoption is a lie and because its just like black market good like if this guy does his reserch he'll see in marrow i women did same thing to a guy in 1988 sinceely caroline from ohio don't let them steal your baby like couple did to me and her father
I agree completely that fathers have rights too, and if the child is going up for adoption and the father wants the child he should be the first choice, IF he's a fit parent. I have two children that are adopted, one who's father signed his rights away another who's father walked away when she told him she was expecting and told her to "do whatever she had to do" The attorney tried to find him to let him sign off on the adoption and was unable to locate him, so the registry law was used, to protect the child if he should come back years from now and try to take him back. Because of this law he couldn't come back into his life and expect to have his rights now, he lost them when he walked away!! Open adoption is NOT a lie, we have a VERY open adoption with both of our children's families. We will continue to stay in touch with them as long as they respect us as our children's parents and they are a good influence in their lives. It's been very positive for everyone involved, it's too bad it didn't work out for you but when it works it's a beautiful arrangment for the children to know that soooo many people love them and want whats best for them.
