FOR AUGUSTMOON61

Quote From: augustmoon61

mima,

How can anyone expect these two girls to react to this man in any other way than shock.  He showed up at the oldest one's work in drag and called the youngest one on her 12th birthday and told her during that phone call.  I believe that the girls are tired of dealing with his drama.  The show isn't able to show all of the drama that these two girls have gone through.  This latest drama is the most outlandish.

I wish everyone didn't expect a 21 year old and a 13 year old to act better than the dad.  They are trying so hard to deal with it.  Isn't it obvious that the dad doesn't care what they think anyway??  How much emotion do you see from the dad versus the emotion that you see from the daughters.  Think about that.

I have been in your shoes so to speak.  Married many years to a MAN and then one day we decide were going to be female. It was HARD it sucked it hurt every emotion you can ever imagine ran through me.  How could he do this to me? to OUR kids? to our family? Why is he so selfish! so cold so uncaring so unresponsive. What did *I* do to deserve this?  What did my kids do to deserve this?  All questions actually unanswered... I will never know or understand why... all I know is he lived 9 years into transistion working as a female living as a female being accepted as a a female... and he died happier than he had ever been in his life... the first 38 years or so he lived an apparent lie and I was a part of his lie.  If he had told me before we got married it may have been different but back then not accepted at all or at least not in SW Virginia where we lived at the time.  Came back to NY and he found help... but he left us... hurt again. Didnt see our youngest daughter for 5 years...from 13-18 came here on business (as female) stopped for a weekend... came back from business stayed next weekend... went home died 4 days later(which btw I blame on HRT he was taking!). My daughter to this day still has issues...NOT with his transgender issues... but  the fact that now he is gone forever she cant have a second chance to egt to know him as her (I know that sounds wierd). He left permanantly the last time.  I hope the girls can at least befriend him it may seem awkward but better to have someone to love than to only have a memory.

There is nothing cowardly about transitioning gender. It is very scary and it takes unbelievable strength to face the world while you are transitioning.  I suggest the movie "Transamerica", which portray's a transgender's pain and scorn from the world very well.
