Quote From: cartilagecrownWhat do you think (and other christians for that matter) of intersex people, you know, someone born with parts both reproductive systems, or other intersexed conditions, like one where a person will have some cells in the body have XX and others XY chromosomes. I mean, if god picks out what gender you are and you're not supposed to question it, what are the poor intersexed people supposed to do? Just pick a gender and hope they like it?
I think that if biology (not god becaue I don't believe in god) can mess up your gender physically, it can also mess up your gender psychologically.
I think that some people are born with the mindset of one sex, yet they are the other. It's just a mental version of when biology doesn't decide fully on your gender.
My husband is a scientiest and since you don't believe in God, why do you ask such a question.? You ask because you want to believe in a higher power, that's why and you also ask to try and condemn. It isn't just Christians who judge. Not all Christians walk the talk. GOD IS A GOD OF CLARITY, NOT A GOD OF CONFUSION. We are taught to be compassionate but we are also taught to love all people. We are also taught to dust off our feet and not get into conflict with unbelievers. I don't believe intersex people are any less loved than anyone else by God. We come into this world to learn about our soul and to help others. Nothing can seperate His love for us, even our gender or in not knowing our gender. In fact, if you believed in anything and wanted to know what God thinks, go staight to the BIBLE. It states that GOD has no favorites, but fortunately for us Christians, we claim and know a SAVIOUR who heals cancer, AIDS, torment, confusion, bi-polar disorder, physical deformities, and any other illness, discomfort or pain you can imagine, whether it be psychological or physical. HE STILL HEALS PEOPLE TODAY. WE know that some of us come into the world with heavier crosses and it is people who are mature in their faith that give love and help others carry them depending on where their comfort zone is. WE ALSO KNOW THAT OUR SPIRITUAL BLOODLINE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN OUR PHYSICAL BLOODLINE. Now that is good news! What are you doing to help others? I am a rape crisis advocate and wouldn't be if Jesus wasn't in the picture. Who are you helping?
