Quote From: jtfjmjrHad my thyroid removed about 4 yrs ago. I had 17 separate nodules on it that the Dr. said could turn cancerous. Wasn't the Dr.'s idea to remove it, it was MINE. Had to fight to get it removed too. They just wanted to keep doing biopsies on it. I got really tired of having to go in every 6 mo. and getting them done and then being scared to death that they were going to say Cancer. So I fought with them for 3 mo. Finally won! The weight, acne, and a few other problems since then are hard, BUT DEFINITELY WORTH IT! Rather have to fight that than cancer. NOT MEANING TO OFFEND ANYONE! Sorry if I have.
Good luck with your Mom and hope all turns out for the best for her.
