I agree with what u wrote who is doing the lieing i think brandy should be let go.  People who rape girls repeatly do get put away as long and they have records going back 20yrs but thats ok a first offense for brandy which was an accident goes for 12yrs doesnt make sense what is with the system they call this justice it discussed me the way this system is everyday i get angryer angryer but of the things i hear how murders rapists anybody gets let out for good behavior or gets i-2 yrs tops. Its discussting and oprah just did a show about this and how it needs to stopand us the people r the only ones who can change this.

i agree, but i also want to add i think both sides should take time and get the therapy they need, i think blaming each other is not solving what the real problem is , i personally believe the mom of the son, needs to find it in her heart to forgive, just what Dr Phil said not for the other family but for her own sanity, i also think the girls mom needs to forgive for her sanity, there is nothing to gain by blaming each other, personally both parents allowed these young adults, (17) to have a serious relationship which i think they need to accept some responsibility after all they allowed the kids to act like adults when they are clearly not mature enough, i feel bad for both sides, but honestly keeping the poor young girl in jail for 12 years isn't solving anything, i think she could do better going to high schools all over an talking about her ordeal and how 2 young adults ruined lots of lives for ever. my heart goes out to each and every one, i have both a son and daughter and i tell them they are going to be children for as long as i have control, there is no good coming out of 2 children seriously dating at the young of age.

i aslo agree i picked up that right away she doesnt know anything the whole family is hiding something. they knew what was going on in their realotionship.
