They were persecuted by the public for allowing their children to act the gender they identified with. The were told they were abusive....
You would expect that the parents loved their children unconditionally wouldn't you? Yet even when this has happened people will stand on the opposing side of the argument because they assume gender is binary.
Are you also aware your assement of getting "male" hormones doesn't fix GID? It doesn't "make" you a man and it actualy has quite the opposing effect on someone suffering with GID. It's terribly sad that we live in a society that doesn't really like individuality, all the can see is 1, 2 or 3 categories can be put into. They so dislike individuality that they can't seem the mental damage this pigeon holing DOES to people!
