MAINTAINING YOUR WEIGHT

Quote From: imlosingw8

Hi, Loosey!

What do the charts say is a healthy range for your height?  More importantly, how great did you feel mentally and physically when you weighed 10-14 pounds less?  You were 149 when I met you two years ago, if I remember correctly.  I sometimes think I'll take the easy way out and try to stay where I am.  But, if I'm honest with myself, I don't feel nearly as great as  I did 10-20 pounds less!  And, I've got to fit back into those clothes!  That was the whole point of getting rid of clothes when they became too big.  I maintained at 129 for almost a year, then I got lazy.  I exercised less, and ate more.  I justified everything, saying I "deserved" to take a break from exercise, or to eat differently.  That's not taking care of myself.  I'm on the right track again.  It's definitely hard, and I think it will always be a struggle for me if I let it.  I just need to accept that I have to exercise and eat a certain way to stay healthy, I can't compare myself to others.  I had a problem jumping back into Dr. Phil's plan again.  Maybe because I've lost a lot of weight on it twice.  Obviously, it works.  I don't know why I had a mental block.  Find something that works.  You can do it, and I'm here for you.

Hello,

Thanks for the talk Diane.

I think the charts say that I should be about 151 on the higher end and 143 on the lower end. so I'm 12 lbs over the higher end. And it doesn't seem like much but it is a size bigger. I guess I can live with size 11/12, my old clothes are size 9/10. I would just have to put those away and start buying the size I fit now. The average size of a woman they say is a size 12 right. lol I can be average. ok, maybe If I can even lost 5 lbs and stick to that, I might even feel better.

I think what I'm going to have to do it stay away from that darn scale too. It seems that I'm on there just checking to see if I lost a lb. And if I didn't I get discouraged.

And I guess I just have to realize that I'm going to have to continue exercising and try to eat less, I can't always be in pig out mode when I see something good.

Like Saturday, me and my son went out for pizza and it was buffet. The nice thing is, that's all I ate all day, I was stuffed right till I went to bed! lol

I would like to try this week....to just try and be normal! what ever that is. lol

I was 163 Friday and I'm 163 today. No IE all weekend. I should aim for a pound a week.
