While it does take a while to get everything straightened out, believe me, it's worth it. and with the type of goiter your Mom has it might be better if she has the whole thing removed. Goiters can grow back and get larger as they do. The surgery is major and the healing time can be long, but it's better in the long run. Let your Mom know that I'm sending her healing vibes.
