Don't blame the Catholic Religion

Quote From: zondervanus

I kept a list not for the reasons that most people would think. During my heyday before accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour during 1989-1991 I had a rule that I only had sex with women on Thursday thru Sunday. At the time I was catholic and if you know anything about growing up catholic it was ok to sin because all we had to do is confess our sins to a priest on Friday. That usually followed by reciting a couple of hail Marys.   I always played it safe and used a condom but in very rare ocassions I did not. I used to go out every single night in Miami and the Steven Seagal look was in at the time and of course I had long hair all one length down to my back.

I am Latin, tall at  6'2", trim and tanned but none of that will get a girls number.. its all about the Labia.. in other words what you say and how you say it. Pretty much like Paul that was on the show who obviously exudes confidence. When i had sex with a woman it wasn't the same woman I met on the same night but rather the ones I met the week before or two weeks before that.   For me , I value the art of conversation rather than going on the dance floor and trying to make heads or tails of what a person is trying to say amidst the noise of the music playing.

I kept a list which was more of Larger than Large Black book where a woman's information such as her history, her vitals were kept.  I was not much of a praying man at the time since I was Catholic but in the back of my mind there was always the IF someday I would get something from one of my partners. I essentially kept the womens contact information just in case i needed to refer back to them in the event there was a health issue.  I have always been a private person so my idea was not to use the list of conquests for boasting. I really did enjoy the company of women and treating them well.  Like a Man should treat a woman.  I was surprised about that time when I met  a woman that kept a similar list of the men in her life who she had sex with.  It can work both ways.

In 1991, I accepted  God's calling to Ministry were I am presently operating in the gifts that the Holy Spirit empowers me in but I use this old environment to speak and mentor other men with similar backgrounds.  Testimony is a powerful word and to be used as a vessel to reach the lost and witness to the unsaved letting them know that there is an alternative to that lifestyle.

Be Blessed

Zach

Listen, just because you sucked as a Catholic doesn't mean you should blame the Church for your own lack of morals, or for your inability to pray.  You say Catholics can do whatever they want, when they want, because all they have to do is go to confession.  You really are not very well educated.  Confessing to the Priest follows Jesus' example of offering forgiveness to those who confessed their sins, but then He said GO AND SIN NO MORE - and that is exactly how the sacrament of Reconciliation is to be done.  If you thought you could behave in whatever unseemly ways you wanted to and it would all be fine because of confession, then you were an ignorant Catholic.  Not the Church's fault.  And you say you weren't much of a praying man because you were a Catholic?  You weren't much of a praying man because you weren't much of a CHRISTIAN.  Catholics are Christian, and we follow the same biblical principals as all Christians, so of course we are called to "pray ceaselessly".  Again, don't blame your own ignorance and lack of education or morals on the Church.  blech.
