Quote From: marcia52no exercise today .. I went into work and I thought I would make it for swimming .. nope .. then I thought, I'll come home and do yard work. Didn't happen either. I didn't get home until around 6:30 tonite .. stopped at the grocery store for staples.
I'm already picking myself up "food wise". Bought oranges & dried apricots. It gets easier and easier each time. This time, I'm going to figure out when I begin to stop eating fruit and veggies. When I name the reasons, I'll be able to focus on maintaining the healthy eating this time. I want to go further than I've ever done before!
Tomorrow, I'm going to walk my dogs .. but first the market and then take my friend to her friend's house. Then I'll come home and walk my beloveds. It will feel good!
p.s. Mom actually made it to the 1 mile walk yesterday. And she wants to do it again next week. This will be fun .. I'm hoping I can improve my speed and walk it twice.
I went out for what was supposed to be a quick trip to town...a couple of miles from home, another driver flagged me down to tell me that I had a flat tire...he helped me change the tire...yes, I do carry a spare, but I don't know how to change a tire...couldn't get on the ground like that to do the job...I'd never be able to get back up again...that was so nice of the gentleman to change my tire...a complete stranger...I'm so thankful that it didn't go flat while I was taking the kids to school...or worse, on the freeway...and it was perfect timing with our tax rebate...like we needed another thing to spend it on...had to buy new tires...the treads were pretty worn...I feel better now, knowing that the tires are going to last...the rest of the rebate money will be going toward my husband's new insulin pump...in one pocket, and out the other...
I never did make it into town...got gas locally, instead of at Costco...at a much higher price, but I didn't have time to do all of my errands, and running to Costco just to save a little on gas would be silly...it would have taken 2 gallons of gas to get there and back...I only get gas there if I am in the area already...we live 20 miles from there...and I went to the local grocery outlet instead of the regular grocery store in town...got what I needed...I can run out to town later in the week for the rest of what I need...nothing urgent...
Well, time for bed now...still have some little ones resisting bed time...gotta go...Becky
