He sounds very shallow. You deserve better. Does he not understand that your body changed because you bore HIS child? He is not the one who carried the child for 9 months...if he was, HIS body would have changed and HE would be the one struggling to get back the way he had been.
If you are looking to shape up, do it only for YOU, not for him. And like that other poster said, find someone with better values who will appreciate you for who you are.
