If she cares about you she will put an end to the situation. I don't think she will go back to him, but there is something that prevents her from cutting the strings and you, or a counselor, needs to find out why.
Continuing contact with old relationships is trouble. Your lady may not be interested in reconnecting, but her old flame is, and it needs to stop. Get real man, if she is staying in contact with someone in her past, there's a reason, plus, she's getting something from it.
