The bible might say that man is head of the household but it also says that a man should love and protect the family.  That he should give to the wife and she should give to him.  It also says that infidelity is the only reason for divorice and if you divorice, you should not marry again.  There is a lot of things in the bible and people seem to pick and choose what to obey. 

I have been married for 25 years and my mother in law asked my daughter when she was going to settle down and get married, she answered "when i find a guy who lets me wear the pants in the family like my mom does!"

My marriage vows were simple.  "God made woman from man's rib, not from his head to be above him, not from his feet to be walked upon, but from his side to be equal with, from under his arm to be protected by, near his heart to be loved by"  Maybe if men (and women) would think that way, marriage would be much easier.
