Quote From: yesyoucanMy pet collie mix Tigger gets scared if I get excited rooting the Oklahoma Sooners on. Well, last college bowl game I didn't yell much as Sooners lost and was depressing.. So I guess I'm on the right board. Plus, I decided not to watch since Tigger got so scared since I never yell... or for some reason. Tigger is from a doggie homeless shelter and was abused so maybe abuse happened during football games. I don't know.
Tigger was brought to shelter and adopted and returned twice so he has doggie PTSD and cheering OU on triggers some sort of insecurity in him and he goes and hides. So you DO have a point. LOLz Not funny how scared he gets I'd just forgotten until you mentioned so scratch that idea. We've had Tigger about nine years and only in past year did I start watching OU play since got to see my home town during home games. I SO get why people enjoy watching, now. I use to think I'd rather play catch with football outside than watch.
My bowling isn't consistent and I haven't bowled since I don't know when. I hear you on the rising cost of everything from bowling to you name it.
I think my average was about like yours when I was on a league, once.
When I coached softball one of my players twisted her ankle really badly. Wait! That might have been when I played on City Hall team for my home town and not my team. Not sure now. Looked VERY painful though and badly bruised. She dropped out for season after that and just like second practice.
Playing tennis like Dr. Phil does I can see where a sprung ankle could happen. I played beginner tennis and won all my games and trophy. Yet, would you believe, since I bent my arm when I hit ball the judge was actually rooting other person on saying she didn't want me to win since my form was not in form. I guess it showed I was self taught besides basic rules.
I just thought funny that other person was so concerned about form... a cinch to win. Personally, though, I just like to volley ball back and forth to see how long we can rather than compete trying to hit out of reach of person... Or did.
I like 3rd shift except you are right since most don't work 3rd shift can get a little lonesome since schedule doesn't mesh with most everyone else's.
You come alive when you talk about bowling so I hope you can get into another league. I knew one church that actually had bowling lanes in their Family Life center. That's great that persons stood up for you to either ask you or none of their business.
What kind of dogs do you have? You are right pets are A LOT of company. Tigger is a real pal.
If you answer this post I may not see until tomorrow as off to bed. My how time flies when enjoying chatting. Nice chatting with you. Hugs and prayers, SEA
Animals are very very smart. Amazing how smart they are. I have a pitbull name rocky, just over the age of 2 had him since he was 10weeks. He is a big baby. He doesn't act like a pit thats forsure. I gave him that name cause I am originally from philadelphia, and he has all the colors of rocky road icecream so he got Rocky. LMAO..... I also have a beagle, I got her about 2 yrs. ago from my boss. She is probally about 8 yrs old now. Her name is Kathy, I didn't name her lol... She came with that name long story. About a year ago Kathy had pups from Rocky. What a mix Pit and Beagle. They endded up being adorable. My one neighbors sister took one of the pups and she is still adorable to this day. She looks alot like the beagle, but she barks like her daddy. I had to laugh at kathy yesterday thoe, I had the windows open and my neighbor had someone visiting who had a kid crying in the van. Kathy started crying like she wanted to go out and be with the kid. Then of course I started crying with feeling the way I felt the past couple days. So of course Kathy came and sat and put her hear next to mine, and rocky sat on the floor like he was protecting me and kathy.
I also have a cat. Her name is tookie. She is calico and a real witch!!! LOL... Before I got the dogs it was just me and her. I tried to get her another cat to have someone to play with, she didn't like it. She stopped eatting, was losing hair even. So I had to give the kitten back. When I got the dogs she was fine as can be with them played with them even right away. I was shock how she reacted to them.
Dogs do have a sense when and especially if they come from a bad home. So from the sounds of it Tigger came from a family that use to scare him, either cause of watching games or he just got yelled at alot for some old reasson. I watch that animal cops on the animal channel every now and then. That really upsets me seeing how people can be so crew to those animals. If I had the room I would of love to take animals in that needed a place to live till they got a home.
Well I go back to work tonight. Not really looking forward to it. As of right now I know I am not working with the 2 that I can't stand working with. So it should be a pertty easy night. I feel like thoe I wont be my happy self. I am usually the smartazz of the group, and cracking the jokes left and right. Needless to say that hasn't been happening for almost a week now. My one good friend that I work with she got poision ivy so she hasn't been in work the last couple nights. She has been calling me thoe to see how I have been doing. I haven't fully openned up to her with all that's been running through my mind. But she has a rough idea by what I been telling her. She has been asking me questions of course, I just haven't fully openned up. Not sure if I will either. I probally be here off and on, but I have to try to get a nap in since I do go back to work tonight. Whoppie!!!!!!
