We are safe but the fire is only 10% contained. There are a lot of elderly people in the path of the fire. They are asking people to leave parts of this little town in the path of the fire and there is only one road open to get out on. Our humidty is only at 9% and the winds are really bad and the it's in the high 90's. Our town is full of smoke. We live about 20 miles from the fire right now so we aren't in any danger. It's really sad because so many of these people have animals that they haven't been able to get home to save or move. They say the winds are supposed to die down tonight and hopefully that will help the firefighters tonight and tomorrow. Alot of the people that live in the fire area work in our town and they can't even get home. Some have kids at home and they can't get to them. They've given them a special number to call and the police will go pick up the kids and move them down to where we are, to an evacuation center. I've never seen anything like this, it's really scary.
