First let's get it clear, Brandi and Daniel were sitting in the car talking and crying, Stephanie was in the yard trying to get Daniel to come with her, she was not involved in the conversation.  They had agreed to stop seeing each other, even though they still loved each other, but she couldn't take the abuse and he couldn't control it, it was what he knew, how he was brought up.  So they did still love each other but had to go seperate ways, so she didn't react out of anger she reacted on what was happening.  Stephanie and Crystal started throwing rocks at the back of the car telling Brandi to get out of there, so she left, she was still crying and took a wrong turn, she sat on the hill crying lights on head down, then she seen he had left a few things in the car and so she was going to drive on past were Stephanie and Crystal were staying and up to Daniels friend Johns to leave the stuff, that is when it happened, Daniel stepped out from between 2 trucks and she swerved trying to miss him, got to Johns and threw his stuff out.  And then drove home, she fell to the ground crying so loud she woke up our neighbors, whose say then she got up crying very hard and placed the railroad tie through the window and came in the front door and told us someone had vandalized the car, I got on the phone called 911 and she told the truth right then and there, it is on the recording her telling the truth.  In the police officers statement the state how her Dad was yelling at her for taking the car and things, obviously we didn't think she was an angel.  And she was appointed a public defender at first, and we wouldn't hire her an attorney if she had knowing down what they were saying she had done, several nights later we went out to the trailer park and the same time of night tried to drive the scene that the witness stated, there was no way, we couldn't go the speed we couldn't have swerved in like they stated, that is when we started believing out daughter and fighting for her.

My heart does and always has gone out to the family, especially David, and Crystal, they loved him the most, Brandi from the first day ask her attorney to apologize to them she has always been so remoreseful and regretted what happened.  She didn't bring up the abuse of Daniel, his best friend John started telling us about some times he had seen Daniel abuse Brandi, and then her brother started telling us things that he had seen happen, then some of Brandi's friends started coming over and telling us stories, we never brought it up to Brandi, but she was seeing a pyschiatrist out in jail, and things started coming out about the abuse, he pyschiatrist ask to meet with us and he began telling us about some of the abuse that she had blocked out.  Brandi was a good kid, and kid being the key word, she did wrong kid things but she would never purposely take a life, one time she called her dad home from work because a baby mouse had climbed up the outside pipes into the bathtub, but she made her dad swear not to hurt him and take him out to the woods and get rid of him, and she even went and watched and made sure that is what he did.  If she couldn't hurt a baby mouse how do you think she could purposely take a life.

She went to church every sunday and she felt that morally she had to go to jail, she didn't know about the 120 days until she went for her first parole hearing and his family stated she was supposed to get 120 days shock time, but the talked the prosecutor out of it.  She has been in there for 7 years, her grandmother passed away and she didn't get to say goodbye to her, she'll pay for Daniels death and being in jail for her sins and not being there to tell her grandmother how much she loved her and how proud she was of the life and the strength she had.

God Bless everyone I pray you nor anyone in your family ever go through anything like this, we are just trying to put our lives back together and mend the damages done to it, Brandi is just trying to go on with her life, she still loves Daniel today, and when she comes home she wants to go to his grave so she can greive for the loss of him and so she can tell him how sorry she is for taking his life so soon.
