For myself, I was diagnosed with Fibro. in 94. It was suggested that the only exercise that I do, was either walking or swimming. Anything else, is to hard on the body.
NOW, by 97, my Dr. then suggested that I have an ANA (blood) profile done. I'm referring to your labored breathing, and chest pain. In short, I tested positive, for Lupus. These two diseases, can mimic each other. And both are very common these day's. OMG!! This is how it all started for me I am 44 and I fell last year and hurt my foot and next thing I know my foot does not work and is hurting like crazy so, I go to Dr. the do blood work etc.. and they tell me I am diabetic and I have neuopathy in leg and foot. Okay so now what? I went and did physical therapy and I was in worse pain than ever. When this happen I was not that much overweight maybe 20 lbs. I go back to doctor and she says I have fibro and I start taking Lyrica and it made me feel better. Meanwhile I am still getting blood work done and doctor had a MRI on me and EMG on my leg and u would not believe it. I have Hepatitus C and I have a pinched nerve pushing on my spine. It has been a year now and I am overweight now 55 lbs. AND my foot does not work at all. My stomach is bloated and hard as a rock and I feel tired all the time and I cough like crazy. The only relief I get for my foot is swimming. So, doctors says I have fibro, diabetites, and Hepa C. I know why the diabetites because my Mom is one and Hepa C is from blood transfusion but, I still do not understand about the Fibro. I know I feel like a old person.
