Quote From: tlr29022Well, I personally think Karen needs to get some exercise...my suggestions? Tai Kwon Do or Karate, that way, the next time he spoke to her or the children with anything but utter respect, she could break numerous bones in his body, and drag his broken a$$ out to the curb. Broken bones heal a lot faster than a broken spirit like she has.
Seeing a counselor would help Karen gain back her feelings of self-worth and self-confidence, and to help her deal with feelings of helplessness and frustration associated with a husband who's brainwashed her. Only then will she be able to stick to an exercise program that she is doing for herself, not for someone whose "love" is conditional. Once she feels better about herself, she will be better equipped to make the decision whether to stay with Rick or divorce him. I am concerned about her children and their future as well. Many children grow up to be bullies themselves as the result of parent modeling. Rick is actually the one in serious need of therapy before he destroys the lives of his children.
