You are so Feisty!

You go girl!!

Why is it  so easy for people to 'diagnose' someone instead of calling it like it is?

Yes, I know their are medical/psychiatric conditions that exist and proper diagnosis is necessary. I also know that laziness, selfishness, stupidity, lack of responsibility, lack of self control etc etc also exist and a proper 'wake-up call' is necessary!

It is time for people to be made responsible for their actions... not find excuses for them!

I am so happy that someone else can see things the same way as I do! There have been others of course, and I appreciate them too. I am so sick of the people who are trying to find every excuse in the book to justify what this man is dong and for his irresponsibility. I get especially irate when others have said that he has done more than most people will ever do in their lives! That one really gets me. It is such a slap in the face when I think about the hours my own husband has had to put in over the years. He certainly hasn't enjoyed the fast pace and long hours that goes along with the business that he is in. But, it is his job, he's a little old to go back to college now and just has to take it and ride it out until he can retire. For over 43 years he has worked the equivalent of 2 full time jobs and one part time job. That is the hours for his ONE job! He tries to take off early occasionally but the minute he leaves everything starts to fall apart and his phone starts ringing non stop. It's just not worth it. He's in produce and when the produce is ready in the field, it's ready. You can't just leave it there for the next day, it won't be worth anything the next day. It's a weird business! And very hard to explain. There is so much more to it than the field hands picking it in the field and it showing up on the grocery store shelves. Yep, I do get irate! My husband is very smart and inventive and could sit at home and doodle with things and call it his "business" but it sure won't get the mortgage paid. And something else I just thought about? They have 7 children? And one is just an infant? They can't possibly have health insurance! So for all of his admirer's here on the board, who do they think is paying for all of her pre-natal care and hospital bills when she gives birth? They don't have the cash to do it. So I guess it falls to the state. Oh yes, I'm so proud of them! We pay $800.00 per month, out of our own pocket for our health insurance. And how do we pay for that? Because my husband works and I get a disability check that I worked and paid into. I don't even use my Medicare, although they take out over $100.00 a month for it. I'm forced into laziness due to my disability and I would LOVE to be able to go back to work. For me, it would be a privilege. And how about all of the single mothers out there with deadbeat dads who refuse to help provide for their children? They hold down jobs and take responsibility for their lives. They should receive the applause that this man is receiving. And even the field workers, that is a back breaking job with very little pay. Seriously, you will never find us "white" people doing that kind of work. If it weren't for them, we would have no more produce! I have more respect for them! Yes, I could go on, I have already been on quite a tangent here haven't I?

Peace and Power to the non lazy hard working people in the world!
