I'm transsexual and have lived through the abuse society has heaped on me for 48 years! You have no idea what it's like to wake up every day hating the body I was born in and have no economic support or ability to make my life complete because of the prejudice and bigotry I've had to deal with.
What most of you folks don't know is that in our community, the unemployment rate that can be measured is seventy-five percent! Try applying for a job when you've had a lifetime of testosterone infecting my system and trying to look as feminine as possible... and don't tell me to dress as a guy, because that's living a lie, and will never ever do that.
Dr. Phil has got to get an education in transgendered lives. He's supposedly an educated man and a PhD in psychology, well, I have to say that he must have skipped those classes in gender, because his track record is very weak! I remember the show about gender variant children, and a parent was worried their boy was going to grow up gay because he wanted to be a girl and Dr. McGraw agreed. Dr. McGraw, if a boy says he wants to be a girl she's transgendered, NOT gay!!
