I sent you an email, I too am a mother who is living without my children. My boys were old enough to decide who to live with. My ex makes way more money than I do and my children decided to take the easy road. I use to beat myself up saying ... WHAT IF? I made the mistake of letting the boys go visit their Dad for Thanksgiving. My ex mother in law now takes care of them more then my ex ..... she is sick now and is having a hard time, I soon came to realize that the only reason he "baught" them is so he did not have to pay child support. I was hoping he would be the Dad he never was to them. Some things never change i guess. I have since started my own business, if anything it has made me a stronger woman.
Now my youngest is wanting to come back to me. It is hard to deal with the kids being gone, especially when you have given them your heart and soul. It gets better, it just takes time. If you lose you need to surround yourself with great friends who can be there for you. I can tell you it will be the heardest time you will EVER go through. Just dont shut down, like I did for months. that is not good.
Your son will come back to you. Boys love their Mom!
