What do you think about the elections? I can't believe what a prize McCain found in Palin! I have sent money to the republican campain for the first time in my life! I am so excited about thier message and I do believe they'll change alot of things if the get in. All for the good! I so value integrity and both have shown that's what they are all about. I mean Palin put her jet on ebay!!!! And fired her cleaning staff and the chef. Pssshhhh! Imagine what she'll do when she gets in?  I loved how they are saying "I am here to serve". Love it!

You are a jewel in my life.  One of the first to call me when you think I'm hurting or know when I'm troubled.

And I love you for that.

But as far as politics go - perhaps you shouldn't ask.  Although I'm apolitical (and also Canadian) and have never voted in my life for any country and for my own reasons ... well, I'm very interested and concerned with this election and have watched every speech and regarded every detail.

With all due respect, perhaps your money goes to balloons after the speeches.  And confetti with the faces of the candidates imprinted on it.

I know your heart is in the right place.  And one day, maybe, I will tell you who I would vote for!

Love ya, JP.

I think that perhaps Trace is right on this one.  I like you guys too much to discuss politics.  Sorry JP but I don't share the same views about Palin and McCain.  I feel that excited though for my candidate and will most likely be actively campaigning in another state (mine is not nor will ever be a battleground state) the week before the elections. First time I have ever done that.

One last thing and this is across the board, no matter who we are talking about, don't believe all the crap that people float around the internet.  Facts can and are distorted on both sides, some of what I have read I know are completely false so I take everything with a very large grain of salt.

And on that note, hope you all have a great weekend and Ami and Kelly, I'm still thinking about you guys.

Like you JP, I'm thrilled. Several months ago a list of 42 potential vp candidates was on MSNBC, along with their biographies both political and personal. I was fascinated and read each one carefully. (There was the same type listing for vp possibilities for the Democratic party also).

I told Raj months ago that Sarah Palin should be the choice. Wish I had a bookie that had been taking book on it! LOL! My second choice would have been Bobby Jindal, though he is very young. We will see him in the future though, I feel sure of that. But over all Palin has been my choice for VP from the beginning. I am very happy to see a woman on the ticket, and one that is into family, one that is dealing with the same issues as family (teen pregnancy, son in Iraq, etc, etc). I like that she is plain spoken and has no airs about her.

I also like that the media is a total failure in trying to demean her children. Bastages one and all! Have I told you all how much I hate the media??? Oh yeah I have. hehe Anyway I like her, I think the two of them will be great for this country.

Janet contributing to the campaign is as good a way to spend money as any. I see it as an investment in this country. Isn't that what all campaign contributions from the small guy like us are really? Sure, so there is no shame is supporting what you believe in. I am looking for a sign for my yard, something I have never ever done. But I told Raj to be finding us one. I am thrilled that we have a strong ticket for a conservative team. I'm a moderate conservative plain and simple and I love this team! =)

I really think I am most happy that Sarah Palin isn't a feminist by feminist standards. That is most refreshing. Yup, I'm happy with a hockey mom, after all being a mom is a job I love why shouldn't our leaders love it too? =) My personal motto to my family is "I am here to serve".....I love it too!!

Hehe, I'm doing surgery prep today (40 gallons of laxatives...sheese) so no one can claim I am full of sh*t either. =P LMAO!!

Love you all!

~Ami
