About a year later Lisa's husband died in a horrible accident, when Anna was 9 years old. Everyone was devastated. He had never accepted Jesus, he thought that he didn't even exist. Lisa prayed every moment of everyday that God would help her and her family and bless them. A couple years later she prayed that God would send her someone, if that was his plan for her. She stayed faithful. She did go on some dates but nothing serious. When she would get discouraged she would pray that God would help her to be strong. To make a long story short. Lisa went on about her life. Anna started college and got married. Lisa did meet the man of her dreams ( who is very active in the church, he is a family man, he makes great money, and he loves is wife and step-daughter (Anna) with all of his heart. He does everything for them, they do everything together. I have never seen such a happy family. What is wild is that Lisa was told after she had Anna that she would not be able to have children again. Anna grew up as an only child, I think that is why we were so close. We were like sisters. The man that she married had a medical problem were he could not have kids either. They discussed adopting because they wanted a child together so badly. Lisa prayed that God help her to know what to do. A few weeks later Lisa found out that she was pregnant with a little boy. It was a miracle!
God will send you "Mr. Right" Just be patient. You will be blessed tremendously.

There actually is a guy but he is currently out of the country working as a missionary, and he didn't want to start a relationship with anyone until this phase in his life is over, and now I realize the value in that decision. It has been hard enough missing him as a friend. I am not waiting for my prince to come in and rescue me from my life, I enjoy my life. I just graduated with honors with a degree in business. I am starting my career. I just finished training to become a foster parent. I am a wedding planner (ironically), a photographer, and a jack of a lot of trades.
I do find it odd that he would have a name picked out. Ironically the girl that broke "my guy's heart" when she and he dated for two years in high school, ended up marrying a guy with the same first name and the same inititals. And my mother had one serious boyfriend before marrying my father and both of their names were Terry. Did they get this special message "you are to marry a man by this name."?
I don't know about the soul mate issue, but there are definitely people better suited to each other. And it is better to wait for some one that you are compatible with as opposed to just going with the first guy who asks.
None of the guys I've gone on dates with would I ever consider marrying. One of them tried to kiss me in the first five minutes, didn't have enough money to pay for my food after he asked me out for dinner, and got up during the middle of the movie to begin break dancing and rapping and telling us how Vanilla Ice was making a comeback. No he didn't get a second date, and it wasn't like I picked him up at a bar, I met him at church!!!
When I saw the previews for the episode, I walked in my mother's office and told her we could stop searching. And then I found out he wants a Sarah, the only condolence I can offer is that Sarah means Princess and the spelling of my name means princess. :)
I'll make, and maybe on the show some day to show my fairytale. |
