I actually disagree with both of you. I don't feel Dr Phils "evidence" was effective since he didn't tell us who the study participants were. Were the "successfully challenged" socialites his own boys? Were the unsuccessful homeschool students unwilling to cooperate, as may be the most accurate assumption about them, in being bullied, (unjustly, inhumanely, without excuse, untolerable) as a part of the (fully biased and financially motivated) experiment on "adolescent growth systems"?
AND I think personal interaction with homeschoolers IS the best way to understand the impact of homeschooling, even when snap judgments are unfair, at least they are revealing of SOMEBODY's character. I've felt misjudged by a librarian recently, now should I assume ALL librarians are ignorant? EFFORT in communication to both the parents and the children would produce the most reliable reading of the situation.
