Dr. Phil sits down with one of America's biggest stars, a woman who's single and sick of it. Paula Abdul's extends a rare invitation inside her home ... and heart. Follow her as she chooses one lucky date from 10 bachelors hand-picked by Dr. Phil. Plus, Rob juggles so many women, he says his social life could be a full-time job. After years of playing the field, he wonders if it's time to settle down. Is an emotional block keeping Rob single, or is his playboy lifestyle simply too much fun? See what happens when Rob’s girlfriends learn the truth about him. Against the backdrop of an old-time drive-in theater, Dr. Phil conveys a timeless message. He shows singles and couples alike how to stop loving dumb and start loving smart.

Single at 40 and sick of it.

A great Mother of two girls, intelligent, dedicated, adventurous, wicked sense of humor, 5'9", weight proportionate, blonde/blue eyes, 39 years old cannot find any available men in Tulsa, Oklahoma because she works from home.

Imagine my dismay to see the "Love Smart Island" focus on several never-married, twenty-somethings on their quest to find love, with Dr. Phil's assistance!  Hey, Doc!  What about the

<slightly> older, divorced with children, women out here?  Especially us that aren't smothering

and know how to talk and act around men?  How do you meet the 'keepers'?

My soul knows that my epitaph will read:  "All of the good men were 'taken', gay, or dead."

Give Match.com a try

I have to say that I meet my husband on match.com. We met and with in two weeks we were living together. He put my daughter into a private school.   We married with in 6 months and now have a 5 month old son. You can find love in the weirdest places. I took one look at my husband's photo on his profile and knew that he was the one.

How common is this?

Wow, I feel so sorry for Anna.I fell in love twice via the internet, but both guys were friends of friends and members of my religious community, so I thought I could trust them. They were both liars who manipulated me, and I was a shocked as Anna was upon learning the truth. I don't know what else to do. I am 32 and right now I have no desire to be in a relationship. I don't trust men. And believe me, I don't have all those issues that men like to complain about. I grew up in a strong family with a wonderful father, so I'm not looking for love to fill a void. I have a great deal of love in my life, I was just hoping to share my heart with the right man. It makes me sad, but I give up....

I love Paula Abdul...GOD BLESS HER

I really hope that Paula Abdul finally finds a man who will treat her right, love her and respects her.

I have been a real fan since her start of the FOREVER YOUR GIRL Album and although I am so in love and enamoured by the celebrity, the woman/the girl has not had great success in her personal life.

I want to let her know that you serve and an every day inspiration in my own life...and God bless you, you are in my prayers.  I have prayed for you to be married and with children in your life...and I am so sad that you don't have a child and know that you are complete without a man..You are wonderful Paula.

My wife, baby daughter and I back you up 100000000%.

Wow

I've dated a few "Robs" in my lifetime. All I can say is that I've never looked back- after I found out who they were, they were out of the picture. The girls may be hurt initially (and they have every right to be) but it is really Rob that is losing. Some people just never mature emotionally, their life remains very superficial and ultimately end up being very lonely and unsatisfied.

Rob and the Primetime show

Come on Dr Phil, you totally missed it.  Rob is sexually addicted.  I was Rob at 25, i know is not capable of an intimate relationship at this point. Why were you giving the girls such a hard time?  Rob lied.  Why blame them?  People should be able to trust others. if they lie, what can we do. Sure be smarter next time, look with open eyes. Quit blaming the victims. Lets quit calling them "players".  i know many sexually addicted men. They do not know that sexual addiction is even their problem.  They mix porn on the internet with affairs at work.  Affairs are just covers for sex and sex addition.

i would be glad to share my story to help other men understand their problem is not the affairs.

Hey it isnt just the younger guys that are players

I am a 48 yr old divorced female.  Rob do you have an older brother that lives in Canada.  Seems I was too smart for him and busted him early into his thoughtless humiliating endeavours.  Men say one thing to get you where they want you, then you find out it was all a lie.  Dr.Phil how about a show for the 40's crowd and dating.  I know i deserve respect and I love myself, but boy oh boy the men out there in there 40's are in need of some self help therapy.  They either want 20 yr old barbies on there arms or 20 of them at once.  Very scary world.  What happened to honesty and trust?? Do they exist anymore??    Hopeful in Canada!!!!!!!

What about the real people?

Quote From: writeatpru

I very much agree and would like to participate in a Love Smart over 50.  I will be 50 this year and have seemed to be love challenged my whole life.   I have never had a relationship or boyfriend.  I am a little upset with the  Dr. Phil show in that his shows seem to focus on the "beautiful" people.  there are people who are more average men and women, mildly to moderately  health challenged who live productive and relatively happy lives who would love to have the opportunity(ies) that some of the beautiful people have.

I think since men can be so visual, some woman can be overlooked.  The blindfolded women  experiment was interesting, but I think it should  be the men who are blindfolded,  that would  be far more interesting to me

Quess what, not all of us are the plastic beautiful people that get on TV, and even worse ,we would be told that we are the problem because we can change what we look like in some way. I don't want saline boobs and plastic cheek bones and look like a famine was taking place because I am a stick figure with no SHAPE!!!!   Rather just be me..........Laura
