Admit it, you've judged people for doing things you considered inappropriate and abnormal in public. Meet Margaret, a stay-at-home mom who's tired of everyone thinking sex is taboo. She says she absolutely loves sex and she'll talk about it anytime, anywhere ... and with all of her kids. This includes showing them her sex toys, her sex swing and her X-rated Web site! But that's not all. Margaret is in a relationship with another woman, Jen, and Jen's husband. Now that she's pregnant, both women say they plan on breastfeeding the baby. Then, meet a husband who sometimes uses the F word six times in one sentence! Plus, meet three kids who think their mom dresses too sexy, and follow a woman's quest to change people's behavior in the grocery store, one shopper at a time. Join the discussion.

Find out what happened on the show.

this person is very out of touch

I watched the show with Margeret, and that is one out of touch person. What the heck is she, her "husband and his wife thinkint that it is okay to show the kids sex toys and pictures of themselves nude? That rightthere is borderline gorunds for child abuse. It is one explaining to your child sex bu she has crossed the line.

I also agree she never intended to come onto the show to make things better she did it for attention, just like she does with her porn site.

Yeah for the cashiers

Quote From: milton

Have you EVER considered the CASHIER who has to put up with your thoughtlessness? They have to put out alot of extra energy to try to keep track of who put what on the conveyer belt on top of being stressed out with having to give the customer highest service, all while making 7.50 an hour. You and Dr.Phil apparently, have never had a service industry job in your lives. Please consider the cashiers!
LOL ...I just cannot believe this topic has so many typing away. I am very grateful for my cashiers right now and I think I am going to take them some home made cookies or something. The cashiers at the store where I shop which is called Price Choppers, knows people by name, will run and get replacement items if they notice the bag is ripped or has a hole in it, take the time to insure sale prices are being recognized by the electronic eye, and just all around remain pleasant and make it fun to be in their line. They include everyone in the conversation that is in the line at the time and sometimes people in the next line get in on the conversation. This isn't a little town, its the inner city and a major grocery store. Guess I am just really really blessed.

04/07 Social Taboos: Is This Normal?

Quote From: meredith3

girls get pregnant in their teens because no one talks openly like this to them about sex. i think the family is doing a great job making their kids feel free, and comfortable to talk about sex, which after all is a natural thing everyone runs to in life. it is good that they will be well informed and be able to make the right decisions!

Why aren't you answeing people's questions? And if you are one of the mothers then just admit it and debate us face to face.

The fact that you only have 2 posts and you won't respond to anyone specifically is suspicious.

I have a novel idea for the lady and the divider. She could put it down and that way it would always be put down. What does she do when there is no divider? Does she fuss the cashier out or does she expect the other person to throw their leg on the counter? Most responsible people let about two feet pass between their order and the others anyway that way there is never any doubt of yours or mine.

Her husband should buy her an engraved divider for her birthday and she can carry it around in her purse.

Its not education

Margaret, Jen and Travis are not educating these kids, did you not see the show?  They are bomb-barding these minors with adult content, and some of us question the motives of the adults involved.  Margaret is not simply discussing teen pregnancy with her 14 yr. old. She is letting this child view her porn site  and providing birth control pills and condemns. Margaret is not sitting her 12 yr old down and explaining why its wrong to make fun of other people, she is forcing her 12 yr. old to go nude for 2 hr. I might add, go nude in a house that she shares with a man and his wife. Child molestation comes to mind. Margaret is also exposes her 3 yr. old to sex toys that she uses and shares with this couple. Where can you find any thing to congratulate this woman on? Are there NO red flags going off for you concerning these kids? God Help them.

I'm not out to get smokers...I just don't want to breathe in cigarette smoke while I jog...they can smoke, just not where I'm trying to get a work out. Maybe since you are a smoker you don't understand that...(and yeah I saw your "lol" but I still don't get your comment...)...exercise is a heatlhy activity and you should breath in smoke while doing it.

I dont' want you to breath anything you don't want to breath.  Exercise away, enjoy your smoke free enviroment  and more power to you.  May you live to be 999 and enjoy good health all your life.

Quote From: llmorrow

Oh boy !!!!! It's another ...LET"S BURN SMOKERS AT THE STAKE  cause.

Beleive me, I am not out to persecute anyone.  If people want to smoke, fine, but don't leave the garbage around where kids have to play or where it could hurt wild life.  That's all I was trying to say.

And I don't think the show mentioned anything about smokers, I just saw this one posting and agreed with it.  Thank you.

Immersing children in a sexually hedonistic environment does not constitute sex education.  Nor does simply telling a child the mechanics of the birds, bees & birth control.  Sex education is providing information at age appropriate levels, imparting high self esteem, & teaching a child how to make good choices.  A sex toy/porno rich environment doesn't cut it.

LOL!

Yes, that is an awesome idea!  But what if someone else likes it and takes it?  Oh no!  Then she will have to complain again.  Seems to me that's what she likes to do anyway.  And what about all those innocent people who would have to buy unnessasary items and be robbed of their own money to support her selfish, immature behavior?

It's a viscious cycle!

Disgusted

I was totally disgusted (and thats the only word I can use to describe it nicely) after I saw this show. The part about the poly amorous family made me sick to my stomach. I can't believe people are raising thier kids like that and think that they are helping them grow to be well rounded adults. Yes I'm young and have not experienced a ton in my life time but I know well enough that those kids are going to need serious therapy when they get older. How embarrassing for a child to have parents who treat them like that. That is not the way God intended it to be and even if you don't believe in God a person who does not have serious issues like the woman on the show would have to know that she is doing nothing but harming her children. There is a way to teach kids about sex with out totally ruining it for them. And Dr. Phil is right it's not about education for her its about trying to over compensate for what she feels she didn't get and that is the education. What they are doing is unhealthy and it is ruining thier children.
