Admit it, you've judged people for doing things you considered inappropriate and abnormal in public. Meet Margaret, a stay-at-home mom who's tired of everyone thinking sex is taboo. She says she absolutely loves sex and she'll talk about it anytime, anywhere ... and with all of her kids. This includes showing them her sex toys, her sex swing and her X-rated Web site! But that's not all. Margaret is in a relationship with another woman, Jen, and Jen's husband. Now that she's pregnant, both women say they plan on breastfeeding the baby. Then, meet a husband who sometimes uses the F word six times in one sentence! Plus, meet three kids who think their mom dresses too sexy, and follow a woman's quest to change people's behavior in the grocery store, one shopper at a time. Join the discussion.

Find out what happened on the show.

04/07 Social Taboos: Is This Normal?

Quote From: flthomcat

Sex is one small aspect of life. And it is just ONE PIECE of a puzzle in any relationship. Relationship are about love, friendship, support, respect for others, self respect, compromise, interdependence, compassion, God's teachings and many other things including sex.

Concentrating on just the sex is no different than if a mother spent all her time each day saying how bad sex was, of a father spent all his time each day making his kids play soccer. Sex is one piece of a puzzle, and for young kids it is no piece of the puzzle.

With sex comes emotional maturity to know when and where things can and should be discussed; these women don't have a clue! Their children are overexposed to something they are too young to fully comprehend. They are not learning about love, respect, boundaries or privacy. All they are learning is that sex is a game that their mother feels everyone should play (HER GAME) regardless of their emotional maturity.

Children learn about sex thru watching their loving, committed, MATURE parents interact NON-SEXUALLY outside of the bedroom. our 5 and 11-yr-old know about sex (they've had the talk), but we don't have to show them how it's done. That will be the fun they have with their married, committed partner (or SHOULD have). For now, they are just kids who should be talking about playing, running, school, church, friends, televsion and movies, etc.

What a selfish agenda this woman is pushing on everyone. She reminds me of some of the middle schoolers I used to teach....they were all about ME, ME, ME and all they could handle in their lives were one thing at a time...sex.

Grow up, women, you are harming your chidren in ways you won't know until they're much older and have no clue about things such as respect, boundaries, intimacy, spirituality and commitment. May God protect those children from you!

This pregnant "mother" (I hate giving her that undeserved honor) is so impressed with herself and her lifestyle that she behaves like a young, immature child who can't deal with all the other aspects of the human condition.

Thank you for your message. You captured exactly what I was thinking and did an awesome job presenting your opinion.

divider

Quote From: jettav

I think this is one of the pettiest subjects that I have ever heard of, some one just put hte thing down, who cares who does it? I have done it beofre and after my order, heck there have been times when I never put the divider down, depends on how much stuff I have. Never even gave the thing a thought til now, O, the things people argue about. Like, I tell my girls, and have even told hubby, if you are gonna fight and argue, at least find something worth the time and effort LOLLLLL.
This lady needs a JOB...!!!...@ The grocery store...It is the responsability of the person in line next to put the bar down...I can say if I had caught you putting things in my order...I would not be happy....I can assume no one has knocked her Block off...and thats just a matter of time...I hope Dr Phil  offered her some help....lol

bar

Quote From: carlyyb

NO it is NOT the second persons responsibilty it IS the FIRST person's they should be courtious enough of the people behind them to place the bar in back of thier order! SHEESH!
Gosh, I never really thought about who puts the bar down, but where I live ...one is lucky IF they can find a bar, let alone have long enough arms to reach around a order and get it! . Does any one else have a bar shortage? I have a problem with those who pull there basket up to close to mine,.making it hard to unload. Ah life at the supermarket.

04/07 Social Taboos: Is This Normal?

Quote From: qwerty_1

We have a whole generation of kids having kids that have little or no moral fiber.Pushing the limits of sexual conduct trying to discover some new sexual ideas that they believe no other generation has been before. It's much like the gay community trying to recruit prospects for  sexual pleasure. People believe if they push the limits of sexuality that they are making a statement much like the 60's generation. Indeed it was this generation who started down the road of moral decline and intense sexual obscurity. Our children who are now "adults" have been taught a true sense of immorality and have been severly dumbed down by society in general. I fear this line that has been crossed, there is no return. Future generations will pay the price where we have failed in being true to morality. Churches have failed, TV has failed, etc.Dr. Phil may believe he is helping but for all intents and purposes he is just digging a deeper hole for people to drop money into for shrinks, doctors and drug sales IMHO.
Woah!

Since when is the 'gay community' trying ot recruit prospects???? I'm part of the "gay community" and guess what, I'm not even gay! I don't know what on earth you could possibly be talking about.

This "moral fiber" you talk about is YOUR moral fiber...it's not for everyone and from the sound of what you are saying is severely out dated.

Teaching kids about sex isn't immoral at all...I think the two women on the show went way too far but I do NOT think that teaching kids about sex in all it's form is "immoral"...Morality is a judgement call!

Gay people are not immoral by thier own standards, just by YOUR standards.

This is ABUSE

I've seen a lot in my life, lived in various countries, and I consider myself very sexually free.  I routinely tape Dr. Phil.  Margaret and her girlfried, and absent boyfriend, has to be the most repulsive show - bar none - I've ever watched.  If someone doesn't take the children from those abusing adults after this show, I will be irrecovably disappointed in our country's beliefs and a system that advocated "in the childrens' best interest".

This is nothing but abuse in its most subtle form; seduction.  Listen to the voices of adults who've been abused as children; it's all about seduction.  Every adult knows that parents have powers over their children that can be used for the good, or abused for their own good.  Here's a situation that fits the latter, to the letter.

Picture this:  an entire society of people with ideas and morals just like these folks.  Now picture the future; picture these kids as adults.  What do you see?  If what you see is good, honest caring, loving people, then your foresight and mine differ.  I see narcissistic adults, thinking about "ME", trying to find new ways to express themselves, in disregard of their own children.  I also see a government and corporations run by people with the morals of a slug.  I see an emotionally warped society that can't find its way back to the basics of love, caring, consideration, or putting our children before our own needs.

This is the first Dr. Phil show that made me physically ill.  I sincerely hope someone in a position of responsibility acts quickly to remove these children from the house of terror they reside in.

RE: The great divide.

I too get pissed off when people get down on cashiers..I worked for a year and a half at WAL MART for almost two years and had to deal with some of the rudest people I've ever seen..As for the dividers? Sometimes they don't have any at the registers! I know the ones at wal mart pretty much all went missing within the first six months of the store opening.  If there is a bar and the orders are close together I will put it down to avoid confusion..if they aren't close then I don't..Not that big a deal

Quote From: brandonlee

if you pay for it, why would it be shoplifting???
I have done that in the past... i have paid for more empty animal cookies and chocolate milk containers then i can count.... I asked a manager one day about this and was told..... "WE WOULD RATHER THE KIDS BE HAPPY AND QUITE THEN YELLING OR CRYING  IF COOKIES AND MILK DO THE TRICK HEY IT IS NO PROBLEM"  and was also told hey as long as your hear your spending $$$$$ so keep them kids happy. I have always paid for what was eaten and/or drank... I have also got in a store and gotten feeling really hot and weak so i get water and yes drink it....... would you rather me pass out crack my head  open? or sip water to feel better? people that complain about petty stuff needs to  stop and think some times there is a reason for it being done. and just maybe what you see them eating and/or drinking was already paid for.. please let all us moms know what store you work in we will all stay clear..... AND IT IS NOT STEALING UNLESS WE DO NOT PAY FOR IT....
