Topic : 04/07 Social Taboos: Is This Normal?

I was talking about the poster dsteamn, not the women on the show. The women on the show, yes unreasonable, the poster dsteamn? Not unreasonable.

 The polyamorists in today's first segment seem extremely immature to me.   Sex on the brain is normal at certain ages, but in adults, it is unseemly to speak about sex so much.   And for goodness' sake, it is totally inappropriate to talk to children about one's own sex life.   That's abuse.   ABUSE.

I don't want to know the details of any other person's sex life; my own is interesting enough.   I don't discuss my particulars of my sex life with anyone, and would be appalled if any one of my friends wished to talk about their sex lives with me in other than the most general of terms.

I am reminded of "Sex and the City."   I live in New York and can't remember a single time anyone older than thirty wanted to talk about the particulars of sex.    The only time sex is discussed, at least in my circle, is in general terms with my most intimate friends (i.e., "Gosh, we've been fighting so much that we're not even having sex.")

What is wrong with people?

As a psychiatrist, Dr. Phil is a mandated reporter.  If a mandated reporter suspects child abuse, he is mandated to report it to the proper authorities and they have to investigate the alleged abuse.   The reporter does not have to prove the abuse but does have the responsiblity to make the report.   Any person who reports abuse is reporting it based on their own definition of what abuse is.  So Dr. Phil, it is your responsibility to report the child abuse these children are suffering at the hand of these people who are raising them.  

This first lady who is married and have a girlfriend living with her and sharing her husband is too much. I believe sex is a beautiful thing that as a mother when the time is right should be discuss with the children. I do not see why she has to lay around her sex toys and sex swings for her children to understant the subject. That is not been a caring mother in my view when she sends her children to masturbate, and then a friend call her child, and she tell her what her daughter is doing. Then this friend tell everyone in school and make her DD the joke in school. I can not believe Dr Phil was not shock, he was to lay back with this woman.

I am probably the most open minded person in my social group...but this situation is NOT HEALTHY  for the kids.  If the adults want to engage in such behavior, thats one thing, but the kids !!!   I'd like to know more of the adults background as they need serious counseling.  This is NOT COOL at all

I can understand where this woman's coming from; but could she possibly be going about this is a more disgusting way?  I can understand that a woman would want her children to be educated about sex, but a 14 year old?  Seeing X Rated pictures of herself on the internet?!  I think it's disgusting, and it's only going to cause problems for her children in the future.  Can you imagine, now, what's going to happen to this girl now that everyone knows her mother has this site!?  

  

And does anyone know the site?  I'm all too curious.  

 
 I don't believe it's my right to judge other people's relationships, but I do have concern's about the website that the mother mentioned.  A lot of people have the attitude that the Internet makes them anonymous, and it DOES NOT!

It would be too hard for a creep or a classmate to do a "whois" search for her domain name.  As a webmoderator for a few different websites frequented by kids, I can tell you that cyber-stalking can be a problem, and is often used by kids to embarress each other.

As for the second story, I can understand that 100%.  My years working as a call center rep, and the frustration that came from that, added to my own potty mouth.  I even swore when I gave birth 364 days ago -- "Where the *bleep* is the doctor?!?".  So hopefully this segment will give some ideas on how to stop that habit, since my son's birthday is tommorow...

This woman needs psychiatric help, and her children need intervetion and counselling.  She has crossed boundaries.  This is sexual abuse ie. exposing children to porn. and forcing a person, never mind a minor, to strip.  She is also emotionally abusing these children by (for one) telling their friends that they are masterbating.  My mother enjoyed embarrassing us, and I will never forget it.  This family is very disfunctional and I really hope that Child Protective Services gets involved and takes this case seriously.  This whole family needs help.

 The lady and I use the word lady losely is crazy! She has no business being a Parent! She has no idea of what it is to be a parent and she makes me absolutely SICK. REMOVE THOSE CHILDREN AND GET THE ADULTS HELP!
