2 Resurrections

Quote From: jahluvs

According to the bible, there are 2 main resurrections. There have been many more that were performed by Jesus and his Apostles. Regarding the 2 resurrections, we have to keep in mind that there are two separate groups of people that the bible addresses. There are those who will inherit the earth, and those who will be resurrected to heaven (the great crowd and the small flock). Revelation chapter 7 states this small flock as being numbered 144,000. I think why it's so hard to understand the bible because some places Jesus is speaking to his apostles (first part of the 144,000) and other places he's speaking to the general population. That's were many problems arise if quotes are taken out of context and people are unclear as to whom the words are being directed. These few, as chapter 20 in Revelation is regarding, will be priests of God and Christ in heaven. The rest are part of the Great Crowd who will be resurrected to a paradise earth once the wicked are removed.

I do agree that there are two main resurrections, the third one the Bible speaks of is called the resurrection of damnation. Gods says the False Prophet and the Anti-Christ will be in this resurrection and they will be ashes under our feet, along with those that committed the Unpardonable Sin, or refuse to live under Gods Government.

Rev 20:13-15 and Matt 25:41,46 are a few scriptures that come to mind regarding the 3rd resurrection but I will have to look in my concordance for the rest.

The Heaven Question:

Think about this, even in The Lord Prayer it says - Thy kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN...Gods kingdom is coming to be established on earth as it is in heaven?

The resurrections:

1st Resurrection - Gods saints will rise up out of their graves to meet Christ in the air at his return to establish Gods kingdom on the earth. His saints will be changed spiritual at this time to rule as kinds and priests on the earth.

2nd Resurrection - This is the resurrection that happens after the 1000 year millennium, the resurrection of the great multitude.

Please send the scriptures that shows me where anyone goes to heaven when they die. Everyone believes this, how am I missing it?

The Bible does say that Satan is the author of confusion, the scriptures that I have sent you and studied out in great detail say just the opposite, no confusion - even the lords prayer makes it very plain.

God cannot conterdict himself...

The Bible interputs the Bible and the very last chapter in the Bible says do not add or take away from my words.

The 144,000 - Funny you mentioned this, I am doing a deep study of the 144,000 now. I've always wondered if the 144,000 counted for people since the beggining of time or just at the end time. If you have any information about this please let me know?

Debating Among Different Religious Beliefs

Quote From: purplepenny

Another assumption.

so then I take it that you are avoiding the question.  Hmm, that reminds me, did you think about those sexist comments that you were speaking of?  I never heard back from ya.  I guess you would think it would be pointless because I would only defend them.  Yes, I do assume things as well, but I would take someones word for it if they told me I was wrong about them.  I try not to judge anyone based on an assumption, but that isn't always easy.

I believe from what the bible says, that the count begins with Christ's apostles, those would be the first twelve. I can't know when God decided this, but I believe the count begins with them. This having to do with him creating the "new covenent" with them and telling them to go and do the same. He said that his Father is preparing a place for them in Heaven, so they must've had that heavenly hope. From what I know, nowhere in the bible does it mention anything, prior to Jesus, about anyone going to heaven. One must be chosen and annointed with Holy Spirit (God decides who these are, not another man). I think it's in Revelation chapter 5 that it refers to them as being "bought from the earth". I'm sure there are other places that refers to them, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

Debating Among Different Religious Beliefs

Quote From: kbyers2005

woo!  I am so sorry for anybody who deals with this level of emotionalism.  I used to be bi-polar and took many MANY things as a personal attack.  And used to tell people they had NO RIGHT to tell me I am wrong.  But the beauty is, they do have that right.  When our emotions control our words and our attitude towards others when we are merely tired, this shows where we are in our spiritual/emotional development.  I'm sorry that your husband is overseas because it obviously affects you greatly, but I am also thankful that he is, because due to his willingness we all have the right to freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of religion.  And you have the right to say "YOU HAVE NO RIGHT" to anybody that you want about anything that you want (whether it is true, or not).  This is the beauty of living in America as an American.

There are some at this group who are far too "head" strong and emotional for me (been there, done that - BAD combo)  -it's that unequally yoked theory  So, farewell.

May all of you be blessed with peace, patience, love, strength, courage and wisdom.

Shalom.

Ok I have a question what is wronge with emotion???  I am not bi-polar, I am though a mother of a 5 year old and 1 year old, who has to run everything while my hubby is fighting overseas and dreeding that knock one my board.  I took it as a personal attack at frist but then relize she just answered my question that I had asked and didn't think before I wrote my reply, once I did I told her i was sorry and that it was because I was tired.  I happen to be a very emotional person who something not only has to hold my family together but that of my whole family this is not an excuse to get pissy as I had but it but it is a fact in my life.  But what I don't get is how can you say that I am bipolar because I got emotional??   You are right I have no right to say that anyone has no right to anyone else.  But how come it is alright for them to say that my faith is wronge and that theres is the only one.  and the bible is the only book to live by.  I am glad that I have my emotions because I would feel like I lived in a bubble other wize.

you are entitled to your thoughts and emotions as i am. please don't say that you are sorry for me because I can be emotional.  I am glad that you feel you are over your bi-polar even though everything that i have learn and my sister in law has learned (she has it and deals with it everyday her hubby is over seas and it falls on me to check on her and make sure she is ok along with my other sister in law) that there is terments and no cure. But gald that you found your cure.

There aren't any. The only time this would  apply would be during the 1st resurrection IF this happens over time.

Christmas Tree

 Jeremiah 10

For one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the workman, with an axe.

They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

IS THIS TALKING ABOUT A CHRISTMAS TREE?

However, Jeremiah was written before Christmas was established, so it would likely be talking about the tree that the Christmas tree came from originally.
