Getting Pregnant

Quote From: dmmackay

Thanks for sharing with me.  it is confusing.  I am really glad you wrote me.  I was starting to think no one out there understood me.  So you have been trying for 2 years.  We havn't started to try yet.  I fear that  although our familys want us to have a baby ... (and we do too) they might be upset b/c we arn't 100% financially stable.  I mean we can afford a baby technically but we don't have our own place so that kinda makes it look bad.  My husband got news though of being placed in the managers training program at his work today .   So it was great to hear for me ... it makes me think more postiive about everything.  if all goes well he will be working as manager in the fall and if we start trying in march that would be great.  I Do however worry it may take a long time to get pregnant.  I am not sure though.  But I should get going it's gettting late here.  Take good care I don't know your name but thanks again!
Yeah I know what you mean I really dont think people understand what im going through some times... its hard to explane how much it hurts not to get pregnant after 2 years of trying.... we live with my dad and Ive thought about what people might think but honestly Ive desided I dont care my dad loves having us hear but I do work for him and its a lot eiser to live here than drive back and forth all the time. But people who dont see me as actually helpong my dad out seem to think Im totally smooching but its not like that at all. Even though other peopl might see it like that.... Hey question... have you ever heard of fertility blend for women... I orderd some but Im not sure if its safe Ive never heard of it before.... so yeah.... but anyway I dont get on these messege boards much so sorry it took so long to reply and I proply shouldnt post my e-mail but I dont really care so if you want to talk my name is Crystal and you can actually e-mail me @ william_weber58@yahoo.com  lol any way I hope to talk to you i know talking to some one about this stuff helps me out.....

gastric bypass and pregnancy

Hey everyone... I had a gastric bypass surgery about six years ago. I have already had a misscarriage once at about 9 weeks. I have absorption issues with B-12 and iron that I know of and severe migraines (that have gotten significantly better since an iron infusion and B-12 shots once weekly). Has anyone has a successful pregnancy after a gastric bypass? Do I need to be seeing a high risk specialist? Any advice? I desperately am ready to have a child. Please help..

Getting Pregnant

  • You are a baby. Having one will not get you back with your boyfriend. He will not be around and you will be left for all the care of the baby. Go to school, get a good job and then meet a nice boy get married and have as many as you like.

I had my daughter when I was 17 an not out of high school- It was very hard and very stressful time for me and everyone around me- I wasn't with the father- and of course I thought I would be but also didn't plan to get pregnant either and I was living wherever because my parents were upset with me- They expected there little girl to grow up before there baby had a baby- I ended up having to complete High school early so I was able to graduate and give birth to my baby with out missing any school. I was a single mother for 4 years- and it was the hardest job that anyone could be- I would have done anything to bring back the going to prom my senior year going to parties with friends and being a teen but instead I was home because I was pregnant-

I am now 24 and married for 5 months to a great man- We have a 3 year old daughter together and are trying to have another- He has now adopted my 6 year old - cause her dad was never around and it was so hard on her to deal with that- Thats why I wish I would have waited till I was married so my daughter didn't have to grow up to know her dad was never around for her-

My advise to you is WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE MARRIED AND YOU FIND THAT SPECIAL SOMEONE- YOU MIGHT WANT A BABY BUT A BABY IS BY NO MEANS GOING TO KEEP YOU WITH THE FATHER / BOYFRIEND- EVERYTHING CHANGES WHEN A BABY COMES- YOUR LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME YOU NOT ONLY HAVE TO CARE FOR YOURSELF BUT ANOTHER HUMAN BEING-

PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE TO THINK ABOUT EACH AND EVERYTHING YOU DO AND PLACES YOU GO ON A DAILY BASES AND THINK- WHAT IF I HAD A BABY COULD I DO THIS OR THAT??? PROBABLY NOT- ENJOY YOUR LIFE WHILE YOU ARE STILL YOUNG AND YOU HAVE THE CHANCE-

MUCH LOVE-

Hello Allyssa just thought I would let you know my opinion of your story . Yes I agree everyone says u r to young , in a way I agree. In other ways I disagree , I was 14 when I got pregnant I had a miscarrage . All I'm going to say is finish school and get finacially stable. Find someone that shares the same veiw as u do . Make sure u don't rush in to something u might regret in the end . Just think about it a little more . I'm sure there are classes out there that will prepare u for motherhood before u even have a baby . Maybe that might change u r outlook on the whole aspect .

Tocophobia

Basically my reason for writing this post is to connect with other tocophobics (people with a fear realting to pregnancy and childbirth). I have never met anyone in person that shares my feelings and fears. I feel so isolated. I need to share my feelings and experiences of tocophobia with other tocophobics. I know that this might not be the best message board to be posting this, but i'm desperate for help.

Also I have never heard about someone having tocophobia to the same extreme extent as I suffer. I not only have deathly strong fear of becoming pregnant myself, I have a fear of pregnant women, sexual activities and to a lesser extent even babies make me anxious. The major aspect of my tocophobia that interferes with my life is my fear of pregnant women. The sight of a pregnant woman brings on a panic attack. Usually the woman is a good distance away from me when I first see them. In this instance I can avoid becoming any closer to them and my panic attack is mild (tightness in chest, increased heart rate) however on a few occasions I have suddenly find myself within a couple of meters of a pregnant women. In these cases my panic attacks can be quite severe (tightness in chest + increased heart rate + crying + hyperventilation+ blushing + sweating + nausea + feeling dizzy and faint).

Searching for some hope!

I am 25 years old and have been happily married for 2 years.  My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for the 2 years we have been married.  After a year of being unsuccessful, we started seeing a specialist.  To make a long story short I had a cyst on my ovary when I was 15 and it killed my left ovary and fallopian tube.  Little did we know, that my right tube was underdeveloped and did not have an opening..also my uterus is underdeveloped.  We are going to see another specialist in another province in May.  We are told our only option is invitro fertilization.  From what I understand...there is a small success rate with it.  I am just looking for some advice, someone who may have had a similar situation!
