I know where ur comming from

Quote From: socoolio

I am 22 weeks pregnant, excited, contented, and really fat ;p! Sound familiar? Yes, well, I'm also 16. I personally believe that I will be a good mother to my unborn son despite my age, but I would love to hear others opinions. My fiance is 27 years old (this is legal in canada!) and we are very much in love and have been for almost 3 years (I will be 17 soon). We will be married in June and our son will be born in August. I thank everyone for any comments they make, and please, be honest, I will not take it personally! ;p

When i first got pregnant with my daughter i was 17 yrs old, i had her at 18, but the whole time no one really took me seriously, thats the only downfall, even the docters most of the time will treat you differently, but that deffinitly doesnt mean that your going to be a bad mother because of your age.I was able to do it by myself at 18, i was a single mother for 2 yrs, till i got married to my husband just this last febuary, and we are pregnant with our first child together, and im 20 now.I love being a mother, and i think you will to, you show the excitement for it and thats great.Im so excited for you, married life isnt that bad lol, everyone was always talking bad about marriage, but i think if u live with someone and u already can get along with them, then u should be fine married to them.I wish u the best of luck hun with your marriage and your bundle of joy!!

HELP!!!

Is there anyone out there who can help me with my dilemma?  I am 26 weeks pregnant with my third child, suffering terribly with morning sickness and heartburn AT THE SAME TIME!  It is driving me crazy.  I used to be able to have ginger, but at 17 weeks junior decided he/she didn't like it anymore.  What a pity, as I actually like ginger.  So next I tried orange juice.  That was okay for while until again it had a bad effect on my insides.  Then there was dairy products.  Well that lasted about a week.  A friend suggested Coca-Cola and that seems to work, but I really don't like having too much caffeine while I'm pregnant.  Has anyone found something that works for them?

I don't drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes of any kind.

The only drink with either of those that I consume is Coke and it actually seems to help. Even just lemonade or orange soft drinks tend to give me heartburn.  I mostly drink water.  Though, on occasion I will have a cup of tea.  The feeling seems to be the worst at night before I go to bed.  When I drink nothing but water.

Any other suggestions?

well, i can tell you this much, i am pregnant with my fifth child. I never had heartburn until I began having kids, so much so that with my first one it went unrecognized for a while!  What I have found the best for me, is, of course, rolaids or tums.  BUt, for that massive heartburn that comes right back....I make hot tea, mint or peppermint, and out a few drops of milk in it!  Sounds gross mayybe, but its really not that bad in taste...and the reilef is HEAVEN SENT!!!!!!!!  I hope it works for you!!!!  Congratulations on the baby btw!!

where do these men come from?

Quote From: jenmrs3

I am pregnant with baby number 2 after i thought i was not gonna have kids ever again.I have a 2 yr old daughter already, from a previous relationship, that went horribley wrong, so i never thought in a million years that i would be back in a serious relationship and pregnant again.I got back in touch with someone i went to high school with, and we just hit it off from there, and now we are married, and living together, and my daughter calls him daddy.Right now i am abotu 9 or 10 weeks pregnant, i've got morning sickness way worse than the last time with my daughter, and i thought it couldnt get any worse than that.I havent been taking any prenatals cause they were making me even sicker.I've even got heartburn, and with my daughter i didnt get that till the last trimester, so far this pregnancy is really odd.So right now we are thinking its either a boy, or twins, because im already showing quite a bit, pretty soon.We go this monday for the first ultrasound, and if theres two babies in there, we'll know then for sure!!But my real problem right now is with the ex, my daughters father, right now im going thru all this stress of the courts and getting hiim to sign his rights over, hes been saying for the last 2 yrs that he does want to sign off his rights, but hes never done anything about it.So i went and i seen an attourney yesterday and i found out im gonna have to take him to court, and im gonna have to face him once again. Our relationship was very voilent, he was physically and emotionally abusive, he was constantly lying and cheating, and now hes using his new gf as an excuse to hurry up and sign off rights on his daughter. Its a good thing, i guess, but i want him to make this choice for himself, and not eveyone else.I've been getting these strange pains, and their either stress related or they are from my stretching so soon, anyone get those pains like on one side right near ur hip bone?

its unbelievable....everytime i read someones quote on here its like their dating my ex...is there really this many unsupportive men out there?? all i can say is drag him threw the dirt in court...he obviously doesnt think with the right head to begin with. Make sure you dont go alone thou..if he was abusive who knows how he'll act when he gives up his right to his child..if he even shows..my ex didnt even show up to court when his ex before me took him to court....and yet he crys about it all the time. some of these men i tell you..they shouldnt be aloud to reproduce...their selfish and waste of our time. im glad to hear that you've found true happiness...its what you, your daughter and your child to be all deserve...not some low life who cant make up his own mind. as for the pain..id personally would try not to stress about the ex too much..i know its hard..but you and your baby come first of course..i know i've had some serious stretchig and the pain is right at my sides, near the hip bone sorta...so just take it easy...maybe ask your doctor what he or she thinks..take care...Sarah

my dr. said it was okay to take some pepto.

seriously... those little chewable tablets or just straight from the bottle.  I would take a swig b/4 bedtime b/c I had the same problem.

I was very surprised to read the time on your post, but then again with number five on the way I guess you aren't getting much sleep.  Thank you for the hint about the peppermint tea.  I'll give it a go.  Who knows? It might work.  I do prefer to steer clear of the caffeine drinks if I can help it.  I had an ante-natal clinic appointment yesterday and the midwife didn't have any suggestions.  This could finally be the thing that "junior" likes.

My sister keeps telling me that it could be gallstones, because she had them with her third pregnancy.  Whenever I ask about the possibility, the nurses say they won't know until after the baby's born.  But I keep asking just to satisfy her morbid fascination with it.

I've had a go with those sorts of things and this baby doesn't really seem to like them much either.  But, I'll keep trying.  Eventually this will all stop.  I try to look at this way;  it is such a short period of time in the general scheme of things that surely I can put up with a bit of discomfort.

Thank you for the advice.  Something out there is bound to work eventually.

Ya i talked to the docter, turns out its normal stretching pains.Im pretty big for being only 11weeks, but they say thats normal too.And yes i decided to drag him to court to pay child support, he already owes over a year in back child support as it is.He is not around us, hes all the way in texas, and im in idaho, so im not worried abotu seeing him anytime soon.Hes got his new gf to worry about, and i got my family here. But ya, it seems like theres alot of those kinda men out there these days, that think they can make a baby and just walk away, then complain when they gotta pay child support, and the ironic thing is, her dad wanted me to get pregnant, he was talking about it for months, and he was sooo happy when i did get pregnant, then after that, he just didnt care, i think that hes just not right upstairs, thats what his problem was all this time.lol/
