Whenever Dr. Phil walks down the street, people ask: “What’s going on with Marty, Erin, Alex and Katherine?” This divided family first came on the show when their 15-year-old daughter, Alex, was pregnant and her condition was ripping their lives apart. Alex has accomplished a lot in three years. Get an update on her son, Nathan. Plus, Alex’s younger sister, Katherine, felt anger and resentment about the pregnancy and the constant chaos in her parents’ marriage. Find out how she’s been coping, and hear the burning question Marty has for Dr. Phil. Then, see the amazing surprises in store for this family! And, Dr. Phil follows up with another unforgettable guest, April. She was the anorexic bride, whose husband ended their marriage over the phone. How is she adjusting to life as a single woman? Talk about the show here.

Find out what happened on the show.

Erin Missing

Quote From: dmfuse

I missed something today-where was Erin? Are they separated? Did she not want to be a part of the follow up?  Yet the family says that they're relationship is great with their Mom?? It seems strange that she wasn't part of the show and that nothing was mentioned about her not being there. Especially how involved she was during the whole year.

Also what was the big "secret" that only Alex told Dr. Phil about?? This was in all the previews to get you to watch the show yet I don't remember hearing about this big secret. Did anyone else??

Erin wasn`t on the show today. All they said was that she couldn`t be there. I at least expected her via satelite or a little Erin update video, something. It's curious that they didn`t give any info about it.

As for the secret, I watched the entire show but saw no jaw-dropping secret like it was made out to be on the show advertisement. If I missed the secret, can somebody please let me in on it?

Erin gets left out again

Quote From: sewhappy56

WHAT 18 YR OLD DESERVES A $30,,000 TRUCK?! And Erin AGAIN gets the crumbs -- the saddle gift was great but was totally overshadowed by Alex's truck! Alex continues to be the center of attention.

I agree about the truck. Giving an 18 year old a brand new vehicle is not a good idea. A reliable used car with the financial difference going into a college fund for Nathan would have been better (although it doesn`t appear that the family needs the $$). As for the saddle, that was Katherine. Erin is the mother and she wasn`t there today.

The current Dr. Phil Family

Marty, Katherind, Alex, Nathan and Dr. Phil,

I believe this was the best show of you guys that has been aired.  You guys all have a twinkle in your eyes and a smile on your faces that say it all.  Katherin, you are a beautiful young woman.  You are second to none.  To all of you, you have each and all done a great job.  I wish that Erin could have been there.  I feel sure that she has done just as good.  It was all a pleasure to watch.

Erin questions and other topics of discussion

Im surprised reading some of the posters opinions on where Erin is and what that might mean.  Everyone seems to go right to the negative.  If I was Erin I think I would have had just about enough of throwing my life in front of milions of viewers only to take a beating week after week.   ( I threw a few punshes of my own at the very begining of this series)  I bet she is just bloody tired of having her life aired in front of millions of viewers and is taking a breather.  Dont blame her a bit!

I was happy to see Alex be given the truck!   Yes, it is a gas guzzling non hybrid which will be more expensive for her to fuel as well as it doesent help Mother Earth.  All the following points I agree with and give to the unhappy(least about the truck)posters.  Still... when she screamed the way she did and seeing her so excited made me very happy for that girl.  Was smiling and clapping to see her receive that wished for truck!  Yay for her!  :D

Im also happy to see Kat smiling and looking happy and so much more grown up.  I was glad she was given that expensive saddle,  too!  No, she doesent need such a saddle, but how often in life do we get the opportunity to receive gifts of such generosity?  VERY HAPPY Dr. Phil is as generous and kind as he is to lavish these girls with such wonderful presents.  Its quite true he has helped the family very much but I would dare say that they have in turn helped his show as well.  I remember the boards flying week after week with discussions of this family.  They really brought in the viewers and I would think Dr. Phil is well aware of that.  So in my personal opinion, they deserve to be given the gifts they recieved and I was happy to watch it!  :D

CONGRATULATIONS to all of the family members!  You have worked hard and done well.  Excellent job to ALL of you!

A compliment to April

April,

You look absolutely great.  Please take care of yourself.  The world would suffer a tragic loss without you in it.  You have all a young woman could want in herself.  Be good to "April."  If you always remember to do that, I think you will be on top of the world.  Pay attention to those of us in the audience.  We see you as you are which is a wonderful young woman.

I'm so happy about the truck!!!

I'm so happy, I'm so happy, I'm so happy, forever ad infinitum today!

Usually TV makes me mad, angry....I could just throw a brick through it.  But I watched the amazing race last night and my boys won (the ones I wanted to win, that is).  I was SO glad they won!

Now I am so happy today.  The tears just got more and more with every exultation from Alex.  God bless Dr. Phil for giving her that truck.  That was so awesome.  It's so nice to see hard work get rewarded!  I LOVE YOU, DR. PHIL....you rock!!!

Oh.........and thanks Chevy trucks, too!

I agree.  I don't think the posters who are expressing wonder at Dr Phil still giving this family more handouts recognise what that family did.  There is no way in the world that I would have my family exposed to the nation like that, and those gifts were the only compensation they get for letting the whole world into their lives.  I think they should also be proud to know that their problems are used to help others in their situation.

I think the girls have done very well and I'm glad they were rewarded.  The gas guzzling truck wasn't the best choice but it IS the kind of thing that makes youngsters excited.

I'll reserve my opinion about Marty until I hear how Erin says he's been doing.  I doubt that she would be entirely absent, without even a taped message, if things are good.
