Quote From: stretton80Help please my 2 1/2 year old daughter is daytime potty trained and has been for the last 6 months she rarely has any accidents, she still wears a nappy at nap and nighttime but as said she is dry throughout the day. I picked my daughter up from nursery tonight and the girls informed me she had wet herself several times in only a couple of hours, they also said this was very unlike her, and the previous day she had been at her Nana's for the day and she had also said she had damp panties a few times throughout the day. Do you think she may have a water infection? I am confused please help.
Hi there concerned parent.
If i understand your txt correctly, your daughter didn't wet herself during nightsleep before. But when you picked her up from nursery the girls informed you about the accicedent?? Now, this is usualy not a problem to worry about. You have to understand that one of the things that can cause this is tention, fear, an exciting moment (like a birthday) etc. So if your daughter didn't wet herself before, but when she was with other people (maybe in another place), she did wet herself. This can be because of the tention. This doesn't mean that the people who she was with, did something to her (like fear her), but it's just another situation for your daughter, and this may cause this.
If you are worried about a ''water infection'', go and see a doctor just to know for sure. If everything is fine, you may take what i said in consideration and act upon it. If she doesn't wet herself why she is sleeping at home, and everything is normal (no party's etc) and she still continues, then you may ask your doctor for support. But don't worry, this is normal with kids of that age. A person who is specialised in this kind of issues can give you lots of useful information and tips.
Greetings.
