hey guys

hey there

do u get that swolllen stomach feeling after u binge/purge, or just purge... ???

i hate it, i look like i have budda tummy or something.. so gross... i ate chips last night with my bf while watching the skeleton key, and at the end of the movie the dvd decides not to work anymore.. lol... damn rogers video.. soo now i dont know what happened!!! if yah do go ahead u can tell me lol... anyways and all night i felt soo ill, like they were right there waiting for me to go get rid of them an di know they were...its like my body only knows to purge and thats it... it is like whats this in my tummy, oh get rid of it.. my own fault.. i am still going through this book i have here on overcomming it.. its a very good book, very interesting.. and what i like about it, is the wording they dont make it sound like they are trying to scare u, they make it sound like they are only trying to tell u the real problems that come along side with bulimia.. also there are tools and worksheeets to help u figure out what might be causing it and when u are most vulnerable...good book... if anyone has a chance they shuld look into picking it up, i think,....

anyways it is 830 am and i am going to lay down, because oh yah even though i kept that junk down all night..,. i woke up the morning sick to my stomach and it wasnt even self induced it was just my body acting in a normal function for me!

talk later.. LYNDS

I was bulimic for 7 years and I had the same problem.  I'm now two years clean ...to the day in fact!!  But I remember, every time I told myself I wasn't going to throw something up, I would get sick.  Your body gets so used to that behavior that if you don't puke, it makes you sick, as though something is wrong.

Good luck with your recovery though.  It's still a struggle for me some days, but I'm fighting, and I PROMISE that sick, bloating feeling DOES go away eventually. The first few weeks are physical hell though.  I believe in you though.

What's the name of that book by the way?

Recovery

Hello, I am a 17 year old bulimic ( and slightly anorexic) and I had spent seven weeks in a hospital this past summer in a hospital. Since my discharge and start of senior year, i have full on relapsed and am pretty much forced to go back to the hospital in january because i am significantly underweight. ( 103 lbs at 5'8). I do not want to go because i will get severly behind in school. Does anybody have any experience with hospitalizations during high school? Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

I just turned 19, and have been hospitalized a few times throughout high school and college. The longest was for about thirteen weeks when I was a sophomore. Usually if you are in a psych ward type thing for adolescents they have some kind of 'classroom'. I guess legally they have to have some kind of education thing going on. Anyways, I was able to get all of my school work sent to the hospital ; most of the other people there got their stuff sent too. Talk to someone at your school about it...I don't think it is too difficult. Hope I helped...Later  :)

Getting started.......

Allo there J

This sounds crazy but, does anyone have any ideas as to how to start getting rid of this damn disease! I’m 25 and can’t remember eating normally. I cant imagine how people can eat and not think about it……My day is ruled by when I can binge and so far I’ve been lucky not to have suffered adversely too much but Im sure that wont be forever.

I know there is no magic pill or no quick fix, but I’ve tried every type of therapy, am on anti-depressants, have tried eating healthy, tried not eating, tried food supplements, tried will power......has anyone out there had any success? I guess what I want to know is it best to go cold turkey or just try step by step? Are there better treatment facilities than others? It’s as hard as unlike drug-addicts or alcoholics, we all need to eat to survive!! That means as bulimics, we have to have a 'fix' everyday whether we like it or not!

I’m getting too old and too tired for this!!!! I want out!!

Also, are there any other good websites out there? xxx
