I need help!

I'm extremely obese and I can't seem to lose any weight. I'm a 13-year-old girl and I weight 119 pounds. I've been trying to lose weight for a few months, and I can't get anywhere below 119. No matter how much I try, nothing ever changes.

I found Weight Watchers & loving it

I had lost weel over 100+ lbs from 1/1/05 on up until 8/22/06.I began to lose my way & slowly gaining.I could actually feel the change right off & thought I lost almost 150 lbs w/ no problem so lets get started.I tried & tried but was not getting no where. So I was walking one tuesday & seen a Weight Watchers meeting taking place-so I invited myself to set in a what was left of the meeting. So I decided to join right after that meeting was over & talking to the leader.I am happy to report just my first week I lost almost 4 lbs.And done it just by following points for set for me & staying faithful to my 64 ounces of water a day & plenty of excercise. My goal for each week is set for 4-5 lbs.Thank you Weight Watchers I am commited to going all the way no matter what.If anyone is having a hard time losing the weight come join the weight watcher family. We are here to help

Starting Over Again ....

Well, I am starting over with my diet again. I always start with a positive attitude, but when you have so much weight to lose its hard to keep motivated for so long. I am 39 over 400 lb. and depressed that I can't seem to stay on a diet. My bmi is too much for surgery, so I need to loose about 80 lb. just to qualify for the weight loss surgery. I am a grandma, my grand daughter is 9 months, she is going to be my motivation this time. Wish me luck everyone, ill need it.

Desperately seeking motivation

Susan

Diet

Quote From: vetaas

Hey folks,

I am big girls and always has been BIG. I reached 253 pounds when I said STOP. I went to see a nutrition doctor to get help. He has given me a new diet every week to follow. After 5 weeks I am 24 pounds lighter. And it was not that hard. If I can follow a diet everone can. What I learned is that it is mostly mentally wether you are prepared or not to loose the weigth. At the age of 28 I was mentally prepared to do it. If you want to know about the diet let me know.

Good LUck for everyone

I would love to know how you lost that weight so quickly. I lost 27 pounds several years ago with  some of the Atkins princples but have recently gained back around 10 pounds. I work  out 5 days a week and am very active, raising my 10 year old grandson. I am 57 years old so I'm sure that plays into it but I am getting desperate to lose these pounds. I weight around 175 and would like to be around 135. I would appreciate any advice you can share with me.

WHHYYYYY??

Hello everyone... Im new to this board, never even been to this sight b4 today.  I have 4 girls, prior to the girls I have always been sickly thin never watching what I ate. I gained 50 w/ the 1st, then 80 with the twins that hung on for 5 yrs, then with my 5 yo I gained just over 100 lbs( bedrest and steroids) but it took me 2 1/2 yrs to loose (doing VERY strict atkins) down to a size 6  & 134 lbs.  I have now after 3 yrs gained 30 back and I do not just eat carbs all the time, I very strickly regulate my carbs, and just seem to be getting bigger and bigger.  I feel totally out of control. I tend to have a legalistic presonality~all or nuthin~and if I dont get control of this, I fear Ill be a size 24 again, especially with the holidays comming. Has anyone else overcome life after Atkins??? I am in such a battle.

Diet

Hi all!  I'm new to this board, and desperatly need support.  I weigh 179 lbs, well over my normal 125.  I struggle internally everyday between wanting to lose weight, and wanting to be happy with myself just the way I am.

Although I knew I was gaining weight, I was happy with my body up until an arguement with a neighbor (about 16 years old) when something was said to me that tore me apart...He said, "Shut up you fat B****, why don't you take the FAT out of your ears and listen?"  This was well over a year ago, and it still brings tears to my eyes.  Honestly, I'd still like to wring his neck for tearing my happiness apart like that.

At my heaviest, 202 pounds and only 5'3", my doctor said nothing.  Does this mean I'm at an okay weight, and I just need some confidence?  Or do you think it means my doctor is neglecting a serious problem?

I'm not sure how to figure out my BMI, but I'm sure it would help me figure things out a little better.  Can any of you help me with that?

Also...at 202 pounds, I lost 40 in a matter of 2 months through LA Weightloss.  (And it took over 6 months to gain back the 20 that I did.)  It was expensive, but it works.  Anyone with a good grand to spend should definatly try it if it's in your area.

Best of luck to you all.

~Rachel
