Christina, I think you are really thinking about things and learning to be your best friend. Where have I heard "It isn't working" or "Is it working for you?" Dr. Phil says, "Is it working for you?" I have heard "It isn't working" from those wise enough to seize the opportunity to make some positive changes. Everybody wants to be liked and the secret is to not turn oneself into a pretzel and lose oneself as people do talk. It is a blessing to find out sooner rather than later. I know what you mean about rumors...and good idea to ignore. As Christmas approaches people will be more interested in talking about Christmas. Thank God...right? Hugs and prayers, SEA

My paternal grandfather was President of the Oklahoma Bar in 1939, and my paternal grandmother was first woman in Oklahoma to be appointed to have cases heard before the U.S. Supreme court. My grandfather was an oil and gas attorney and my grandmother a civil rights attorney for Native Americans.

I know what you mean about losing weight. I lost ten pounds when mother was in ICU her last illness before she passed away in 2003. I had not boot straps to boot strap it back up I was so saddened. Fortunately, quite par chance, I turned into Joel Osteen of Lakewood and he was the cheerleader for life I needed. My only regret is that I didn't begin watching Joel Osteen of Lakewood and H.O.P. sooner rather than later yet better late than never.

When my father was on life support for 46 days his last illness since I'd been told he'd get out to go to my graduation ... studying actually helped me handle it better. I wasn't going to graduation as my dad died about two weeks before. I'd broken down crying on phone making reservations for dad's funeral at Arlington National Cemetery since hotel called Holiday Inn. I was really lucky that a stranger from Holiday Inn Capitol in Washington, D.C. Dean Wilhelm wrote to me and said, "You go to your graduation. Your dad will be watching from a much better place." It was the permission I needed to go to not become entombed in grief.

I guess this is on my mind since Lynn said he didn't know how truck missed him tonight when he was at the Albertsons and he looked white as a ghost when he came in like he knew he was really lucky. Then, not long after I saw your post. Do you get free medical in college to talk to a counselor or a counselor at church or call Social Services at a hospital and explain situation. I hope your boyfriend has a complete recovery and I have a prayer candle lit for everyone right now. Nice meeting you and you'll likely get more replies than mind.
