Hi Sea

Quote From: yesyoucan

That just goes to show what your being magnanimous can bring. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I'm sporting a big HAPPY FOR YOU smile. You may be a MERRY CHRISTMAS convert yet as you sound pretty MERRY. LOLz I was wondering where you were and you were out partying and in a state of I CAN'T BELIEVE WE WON shock. OMG! I'm SO happy for y'all, Suzanne. P.S. I like AMC too, like Lynn. That's the same as being different religions isn't it when it comes to soaps? It is like...don't tell me another soap is better... So I won't. Some say hot topics are politics and religions yet we know soaps are the hottest topics of all. LOLz (((HUGs))) SEA

Well, I’m finally coming down to earth.  Lol

I still can’t believe we won though!

You’re right.  We better not get into the ‘soap’ thing.  It could get brutal!  It must be kind of like guys (and some girls) with sports.  Lol

How has your situation been going?  Any changes?

Let’s see….There’s not too much else going on.

We finally decorated our tree tonight that we got on Sunday!  We did a fruit and crystal theme this year.  It’s rather simple and different for us.  Usually, we do have some sort of theme going but we always add our ornaments that we’ve collected over the years.  We didn’t use any of them this year which seems strange but, we all like how it came out.

Naturally, we’re going to put up our three Menorahs too.  We have a shelf above the couch going across the whole wall of my living room.  We’re going to put all three of them on there spaced apart.

Guess we’re going to have one crazy looking living room.  Oh well, it'll match the family living in it!  lol

Well, I hope you’re doing well.

Oh, did I see some mention of my daughter's rabbit Waffles?  I thought I once posted a picture of her but I'll put one again so you can check her out.

At first, I was a bit put of by the dark circles around her dark eyes-but I got used to it and she's really sweet (unless she's scared).  Actually, the circles make her look like she's kind of worried all the time.  lol

Hi Ruth

Quote From: ruthieg

I hope I catch you before you sign off.

Thank you very much for this post.  It has helped me to take some of the pressure off me.  The embarrassing part in all this is that I know all that and can't seem to implement it.  My son is just so smart and clever that I forget he is only 5 years old and I then expect him to act in a way that is beyond his years.  Then when he doesn't I get angry at myself for those very high expectations.

I will do my best to require more of myself.  After all, we have six weeks of school holidays to get through.(Should be interesting.  Being the middle of summer and record highs, with no inexpensive way to keep cool.)

I know how much of a gift he is.  I am lucky to have children at all.  I didn't get married until my late 20's and I don't believe in having children outside of a marriage.  So my son was born the year I turned 32, my daughter when I was 35 and now Nicholas at age 37.  But, I am blessed with three beautiful, healthy children who'll rule the world one day.  They are the light of my life.  I keep going for them, and my husband.

Thank you again for the advice.  I hope I have the strength to give it a go.  Bye for now.

Just wanted to say hi before signing off.  I'm only seeing this post of yours so I don't know your full story-or at least I don't think so.  From what I can see, you have a lot of the usual concerns.

I know what you mean about expecting a lot from your kids.  Sometimes, I forget they're little!  I probably should be doing more things with them like crafts, playing games.  I don't pay enough attention to that stuff.  I know I should because they deserve it and because I want them to have fond memories when they grow up.  I mean we do have close relationships but I'm always feeling as though I expect a lot from them but at the same time, I should be giving just a little bit more.  I think most parents feel that way.  Or at least a lot of them.

As for continuing to go on for their sake-hey, whatever it takes to get you through things.  When I've been at my lowest, I held onto that and it really helped me through.  Fortunately, I stuck it out because while I still have my lows (though it seems like I have less of them), my life has gotten better.

Well, I didn't mean to ramble and for all I know, I could be way off with what you were actually talking about.

I just wanted you to know that you're still on my 'hello' list! lol

Have a good night-or day

:) Suzanne

I'm glad post was helpful because I'm one of your fans and I have confidence in you so I think you will have the strength to give it a go. You were wise to be so responsible about when you had your children. I think Lynn's sister-in-law, an RN, had her first child at 32 and her second child at 38. They are around 16 and 21 now, I think. Oldest graduates from Texas Tech this year in Engineering and yougest begins college at age 17, I think. Like your children both are very smart and were in gifted classes. Youngest plays violin and is a pitcher in baseball. He did want to be a professional baseball player yet changed his mind. Oldest already has a patent on an idea he figured out to improve transmissions that a company in Houston, I think, paid him to use idea. Those boys were two live wires though when five. I think usually very intelligent children have LOTS of energy and just need outlets for it. Hugs and prayers of YOU CAN DO IT prayed your way. SEA

Yes, Waffles is scared she won't be getting any bunny presents again this year due to her recent vet bill. Waffles does look like she's lost A LOT of sleep, Suzanne. Does Waffles have a bunny stocking with carrots and bunny treats in it? Or...a bunny present under tree? Do pet stores have bunny stockings like they do for cats and dogs? If not, I think we ought to picket out in front of PetSmart tomorrow. I'm certain has traumatized many bunnies, over the years, that see kitty stockings hung yet no bunny stockings. No wonder waffles has dark circles under her eyes. Waffles is likely extremely ticked and thinking bunny thoughts such as, "Good grief. How many Pounce treats do those cats need! I cannot bear to see PetSmart commercial of dog and cat looking for "their" presents again this year one more time. "

I was on a Menorah search today at an Estate Sale "and" at Destiny's. No change on situation yet. I need to call Governor's office tomorrow and/or person that sent doom and gloom letter. Ugh... Not like me to procrastinate yet am a bit on this one... Stuffing my feelings didn't work so I doubt procrastinating will either so I better hop to it. I still have time to resolve if doesn't resolve by tomorrow yet pulling it to the wire in hopes Governor remedies first. I was all psyched up when I heard back so quickly from Senator who said he wrote to Governor in my behalf... Oh well, I'm certain Governor has other business at hand to handle before helping me and not his fault I'm in a time crunch. So have y'all hooked up and tried out that new wide screen TV? I'm still smiling about y'all cleaning house at the Christmas Party winning biggest prize PLUS table decoration. I have a sweety pie lying next to me on the floor named, Tigger. Hugs and prayers and sweet dreams to you and All. SEA

Oh ok, I had a friend who had one and he was in a cage outside, I just didn't know if people put rabbits inside or not.  We couldn't have one b/c Chaos is insane and would probably kill it :(

Did Chaos earn his name or is Chaos living up to name? Lynn may go to Estate Sale in a.m. to look at electric guitar and case selling for $165. I think will be 25% off tomorrow. I'm not going back until Sunday at 3 p.m. Actually, since I may be losing a few thousand I may not go back Sunday either except maybe to see what is left just for the fun of it...IF I'm out that way grocery shopping for Lynn's mother since on the way back. Well, that won't work as I'll likely have cold things...I'd have to go on the way. I enjoy just looking for nostalgic reasons dancing with the memories they bring. Not anything I really need. WOW! I'm tired. I see y'all tomorrow... Hugs and prayers to you and All. SEA

Oh, Suzanne, I forgot to say that I think Waffles is a cutie. I LOVE white bunnies with rings around their eyes. Reminds me of dog on old series "Little Rascals". Well, Twilight Zone is about over so I'll see all y'all later. :-)

It's funny.  My daughter has been driving me crazy about buying Waffles a stocking.  We found a little one mixed in our Christmas boxes for some reason and tried to tell her that it would be a good one for Waffles.  Nope.  First she put the small stocking smack on the middle of the mantel (we usually split them up and put them toward the sides) to compensate for it's small size.

Then she decided it still wasn't good enough (with everyone else's being bigger) and asked me again to get a regular sized one.  I've not been able to spend money for quite some time (which didn't help with my holiday shopping) so I had to wait.  Tomorrow, the money is back in (whew!), so I can get more things done-including Waffle's stocking!  lol

We didn't even open the box on the TV because we want to let the kids unwrap it.  My husband wanted to just pass it off as something we bought as a gift but I just can't keep the secret of our winning it from them.  I'll tell them after they open it.  I need to share the excitement as you can tell and I really think they'll be excited when I do tell them we won it.  I don't even know when we can try it actually with the kitchen being torn apart.  I hope we don't have to wait all winter!

Back to Waffles.  I see all sorts of things in her eyes.  Worried, sleepy, angry, concerned, sensitive....the list just keeps going.  It's just amazing what dark circles around the eyes can do to a face.  I must say, it's much more flattering on a bunny!

As for Pounce treats.  My cats live for them!  I have to ration them though, especially with Chloe because needs to watch her weight a little.

Well, I'm pretty sleepy now.  I just realized, it's 11:45.  My eyelids are closing and I'm probably not making any sense anymore so, I'm going to get to bed.  I have a LOT of shopping to do tomorrow!

Nite

:) Suzanne

do you know what kind of rabbit the white ones with the rings around their eyes are called?  I don't and I tried searching on the Internet but didn't see one that looked anything like her.

Thanks for saying she's cute.  I love when she just stares at me and really love when she rubs her face on my hand just like my cats do.  lol  I am a little cautious with her though because she will bite on occasion.  I won't even pick her up.  I'm afraid she'll bite me but my daughter has no problem with it.  I just pet her a lot with a few kisses on her forehead.

Have a good night.  Again!

Can't Sleep

Couldn't sleep. I am stressing. I am frustrated with my husband not getting a job and choices I have/am making. Being here on the board last year (WOW, can't believe it's been a whole year already) really helped me through so.... here I am.
