I get annoyed by people wanting to get surgery for vain reasons. Im 17 years old and I was born with a serious genetic disorder. My old dentist told me for years to fix my lower jaw because it's the size of a five year old and really disfunctional. It effects the way I eat, my smile and most importaint my confidence. It sucks because he told me by the time Im 18 it will  fully mature and It will never be able to be  fixed all the way. I have no support from my family because of money issues and I have no more insurrence  . I just realy really really hope to find  someone who knows what their doing to correct it and of course how much money  it will cost because Im only 17 and money isn't exctly on my side. All I want is a nice warming smile.

I have the same deformity and it has led me to three atempts to end my life and two 28 day stays in the nut ward. I am 55 years old and have learned not to have any mirrors in which I can see my profile.  I stay at home in the house most of the time so i will not accidentily catch sight of myself in a mirror or glass pane. Now I not only have that to deal with but getting old and fat, I have funiture problems (my chest keeps falling into my drawers.)  If you think having no chin looks bad on your firm young face just guess what it looks like on my flabby old one. I used to have great legs at least but now the veins sticking out are all people notice. Please make what sacrifices you need to now and get it done so at least you have great memories of your youth to get you through.

Im in the exact same place as you, im almost 18 and a 34 DD. Im not in any kind of pain i just really hate the way i look, its IMPOSSIBLE to find clothes that fit, i refuse to put on a bathinsuit which sux bc i was planning on being a lifeguard...anyways, i was just wondering if u thought paying 5000$ for surgey is worth it if im not in pain?

if your back didnt hurt would you still wanna go through with it?

You are young yet as you age and have a kid or two you will find that your back pain will come 'round to make you eat those words about paying so much for so little. I do think I would wate until the boobs drop to your belly button before getting the surgery, but take my word for it, start saving now, the price is going nowhere but up.

Emergency c-section

I am a fairly attractive 42 year old woman. I had my first child when I was 19 and it was an emergency c-section which means I was cut vertically. Now I have a flabby tummy that I am so ashamed of that I no longer date. With my friends I joke and say that I have a big butt and a little butt...because thats what it looks like. When I got divorced my husband was out with his girlfriend (which was his girlfriend during our marriage) and she was a hateful person as he was also...she looked over at me and called me "butt belly" I about died but I played it up like it didn't bother me...that was 12 years ago and I still think about it. I no longer date because I don't want anyone to see me naked. I have been alone for a VERY long time and it is getting to me. This has altered my life in more ways than just that...just want my outsides to match my insides.

i can totally relate!!!!!

Quote From: beckybee1

Everywhere I go I feel unfeminine because I have small breasts.  I have 3 young daughters and a fiance who I am sure would like to go to the beach once in a while, but I won't go.  I don't want to be seeing my fiance looking at the women there because they ALL have larger sized breasts and I would just want to die.    I hate this, I REALLY REALLY HATE IT!!!    I sometimes feel that man....at least if you are overweight and unhappy you can lose it.  I can't naturally gain just in one area, I hate not having control over my own size and if I were going to be different than everyone else...why not be sightly larger at least.  All I see everyday and have to deal with everyday are sign or bulletin boards and magazines in men's and women's, movies, motorcyces, trucks, cars, weighlifting...everything are big breasted women and that is whta all men like..it's a friggin' reminder of how ugly I am, how unfeminine I am, I hate being in public ...i can't be in public with my fiance.   I am paranoid all the time.  All of the time.

Thanks.

i am 34 and have 2 boys i gained over 70 pounds with both of them so u can guess how big my boobs got! my husband was ecstatic!!!! until i lost all the weight and my boobs.  i try to  get bras with lots of padding but then i look like a freak because i don't even fill them up! i went to my husbands shop the other day and he hd a picture of a girl with huge boobs on his toolbox! that made me feel real good! i asked him if i could get implants he said what for ........ what for? probably because every time u see someone with big boobs all u do is stare at them that's what for!!!! so i can totally relate to u because i'm right there with u!! it stinks especially when there are 6th graders out there wearing a DD already!

i feel ya

I can relate suzyq... fortunately my husband loves me conpletely just thye way I am, however I am having trouble loving the way I look. I have had a weight problem since my junior year of highschool.  I have had 2 sons by c-sec in less than 18 months, and my body is wrecked. don't get me wrong, Im a big girl..I never have aimed to be skinny. Im 5'9" and have a very muscular frame, and look damn good at ~230. I am weighing in at roughly 310 now, but I know alot of that is skin. ALOT. I wear 2 sizes smaller than I did before my pregnancies, but I still have this attrocious gobby skin from under my breasts to over my scar. There was so much extra skin that while they were prepping me for my 2nd c-section, they actually had to run tape from my belly across my chest to my shoulders to hold it up. I am so scared that no surgeon will do a tummy tuck because of my size....help!!

If I could i would!

Ive had two kids, the last one whos now 11, really did me in.  She was born 2 months early, and I had to use an electric pump to extract my milk for her.  Now, they look like empty frosting bags! they are not round, but triangle like.  They now longer say HELLO! They seem to say ugh, Im tired! LOL!  I would love to have augmentation, cuz Victorias Secret bras, although fabulous, can only do so much!  Im afraid of what message that may send my daughter and other young ladies in my life, tho.  I wish I could just love me the way I am, but oh to have a pretty chest again!!  Oh well....maybe later in life.  I will only be 42 when she graduates from high school and hopefully goes off to college, maybe i will do it then!!! kinda like a happy-your-kids-are-grown celebratory gift!!!!

I think that this should be your choice. And money will come and go. You should not give up your dreams because of something you can't control. My advice to you is to have the surgery. And live a happy healthy life, if that really want you want.

Me

I believe that I should have a breast lift. I am 23 years old and have one child. And within the past year I have lost upwords of 50 pounds. But I have also lost a few cup sizes. But I'm not worried about the size. I'm more worried about the placement. I figure that this isn't something that I could fix myself. So why not be a happier me and get the surgery? I mean later on down the road is when they are suppose to head south. Not yet!! And I just worked really hard to lose the weight. Last thing I want is to get depressed about this and eat my way through it. But I don't know much about this and want a GOOD doctor. But I also need to watch for pricing, because I have a son to raise. I am hopeful that one day I will be able to get my surgery and complete the happy, healthy me that I have been working for.

Great Job

Quote From: vesteacher

I've had gastric bypass surgery and I've lost 160 pounds since my surgery.  I have to wait untilI have finished graduate school but I want to have the extra skin removed from my legs, bottom, and stomach.  If I am able I would like to have the extra skin removed from the upper arms and back.  As an adult I have always been fat, so I am very happy to have lost this weight.  It has totally changed my life.  I feel like such a different person.  My husband agrees.  My children have never seen me this size.

Good for you.  I to had gastric bypass 27 years ago.  I went from a size 24 to a size 10 - 12.  I lost 140 lbs. and have kept it off.  My health insurance paid for my tummy tuck because of the amount of skin and the sores in the fold that could not be healed.  However my breast now sag but my husband still loves them.  My thighs are starting to sag towards my knees so I wear capris instead of shorts.  My upper arms are so saggy and Godbless children my grandson is always pushing them up and tells me he is fixing my wingbuds.  I told him that the skin hanging there is where my wings will grow when I die.  Insurance won't pay for any of those things honey sorry to say.  Unless you are very well off you just learn to live with it and find ways to camoflauge what you can.  Your family is so proud of you and believe me you are harder on yourself than they ever would be.  They look at you through eyes of love and those eyes only see perfect.  Good luck in what ever you decide and congratulations on your weight lose.
